In signed an agreement on 12/15/23 to have contractor replace siding, roof, and carpentry repairs because of an insurance claim when a tree fell on my home. In Feb'24, I issued down payments. In turn, The contractor was supposed to order materials and begin necessary repairs in Feb. After continued attempts for the next 8 months, the contractor finally began work on the carpentry repairs in late Oct'24. The contractor hired a sub-contractor, who performed the repairs. This subcontractor was unable to perform repairs, so he sub-contractor to another company, known as ***************** out of *************. I immediately began to witness subpar workmanship by this company, as he was short staffed and hired two additional workers. They were all non licensed roofers and they installed roofing components without acquiring the permit from **************. In ********, You have to be a licensed roofer in order to install roofing components such as roof sheathing and Ice/Water Shield. Once installed, I immediately began seeing roof water leaks throughout my home in the areas they repaired/constructed. I asked them to fix known issues and they turned a blind eye. Then, This week they terminated my contract with only 15% of it completed. They have breached the contract with abandoning the terms of the contract. There lawyer sent me final demand letters with charges from a Change Order that I never signed or agreed for them to complete. Currently, They owe me credits and refunds that they have refused to issue. I have sent down payments for the roof shingles that they never completed and they will not return the money. I am not responsible for any Change order invoices, when I never signed anything.

      Complaint: 22529863

I am rejecting this response because:     Please see attached email regarding my permit response to ***, as the representing attorney lied in his response letter to the BBB stating that I told them to not get a permit which is false.  See my response in the attached email directly to ***** @ SWG.     I would need to sign a waiver and I never did.   Therefore, It is SWG's responsibility to acquire all necessary permits prior to commencing on the project or working on my home.   They did none of that prior to work, which is a breach of contract.   Says it in the T&C's of the contract.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******
