**** and ******************************* in conjunction with ***** and ******************, proclaimed to be vinyl siding installers and have defrauded me out of $3000.00. They received the payment and did not show up for over a week. When the insulation install was started, they only installed a few areas and it was less than professional. (see photos) They did not try to communicate or return for another 3 days. I decided that I would keep the wood siding that is already on the house and asked for a refund, less service calls, items purchased( in which they reported $250.00), and time. We agreed on a $2000 refund. In addition, ***** has been trying to get me to continue in the business and asked for an additional $2500.00 as a down payment. The group has been defrauding others including elderly through the association with American Home shield warranty company where *** is a member providing **** services; this is how I met him 5 years ago. In addition, J&J have defrauded my elderly auntie by charging her $1600 for furnace repair that was completely covered by American Home Shield and again tried to get her to pay $500 for AC repair that was completely covered by American Home Shield. This company should be held accountable for their actions and not be allowed to use the company name to defraud others.

We have been working with ***************************** for 5 years. We have never had a problem in the past. We have done HVAC work for her in the past again no problem. She has also rented our dump trailer to haul things away from her residents, again no problem.

I would like to correct this about my company taking advantage of the elderly. This something that would never happen. we have helped out and donated HVAC equipment to the elderly. I just wanted to get that cleared up.

Also, if we took advantage of ********************************* aunt why would she keep calling us to work for her???

***************************** contacted my company on June 6, 2024, about the damage to her siding. We spoke about it, and I told her I would come take a look. Which I did, she also got us in touch with her insurance company to discuss the damage. While I was looking at the siding that was loose, I found Asbestos under the siding. I took 2 small pieces with me and took it to a lab, and had it tested to make sure it was Asbestos. Which it was, I had to pay to have this tested also. I then let ************************* her insurance adjuster know what was going on. At first the insurance company wasn't going to take care of this. So, I battelled the insurance company for **************. We got 3 different bids for the Asbestos to be removed correctly. ************** turned in the highest bid to her insurance company and went with the lower bid. I also met with all the Asbestos companies on my time and having to leave other jobs to do so. I made several trips to Angelique ****** home to measure and take pictures etc. We had to go to the home and be on a call with ************************* her insurance adjuster, had to walk all around the house showing all the damage and point it out and again take more pictures of the damage for her insurance adjuster. I have had to make several trips for different things for the insurance adjuster. We all know that gas isn't very cheap now days.

************************* insurance adjuster and my company working everything out to get ***************************** home completely new siding for the whole house. We were battling for our customers against the insurance company. My company put several hours into getting ***************************** taken care of from her insurance company.  ***************************** on August 5, 2024, gave my company a check to get started. We bought the wrap and started putting it on. I had 4 employees to pay as well for what work we had done. Once ***************************** received the insurance money, she decided she wasn't going to put new siding on her home. So, at this point there will be no refund. I feel like ***************************** used my company to get her insurance money and I want no part of any of that.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out ************

    Thanks,

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: The very unfortunate part is that we have had a 5 year relationship and I trusted *** to assist with the matter of installing the siding. After careful review, it was not in my best interest to move forward with his company or designee. In our final conversation, *** and I agreed that $1,000.00 would cover his time and gas. If he felt there was more money needed for the time spent, we could have discussed it at that time. My apologies for bringing in my elderly relatives as I just found out about this and it is being handling by another entity. Overall, *** agreed to return $2,000.00, as there has not been any work completed. The expectation at this point is for *** to respond with a fair refund of money of a job that was not contracted, started, or completed.

    Sincerely,

    *****************************

Also, if we took advantage of ********************************* aunt why would she keep calling us to work for her? This is new information as I did not know you were already providing services for them and they will handle the situation.
***************************** contacted my company on June 6, 2024, ( there was never a contract, only discussions about the work needed)  about the damage to her siding. Which it was, I had to pay to have this tested. *** was reimbursed with $50.00 dollars for the testing and $10.00 additional dollars for gas.  We got 3 different bids for the Asbestos to be removed correctly. *************** turned in all of the bids and the adjuster selected the bid they would pay for.

I also met with all the Asbestos companies on my time and having to leave other jobs to do so. I made several trips to Angelique ****** home to measure and take pictures etc. (in which we discussed compensation for your time $1,000.00 of the $3,000.00 received)  ***************************** on August 5, 2024, gave my company a check to get started. We bought the wrap and started putting it on. (the attached pictures shows how much wrap was put on the home and the poor installation.  I had 4 employees to pay as well for what work we had done. There was not 4 employees here to install the wrap that is seen in the pictures. In fact, the wrap was put on by Ced on the outlet section and on a different day, the one row side was put on the other side to see if it would bulge. The pictures are true and current and this is all of the work that has been performed. The conversation of maintaining the wood siding had been a part of our conversation and the company did not offer to perform this service.  This does not equate to $3,000.00 of service. I do not have any service call bills, but I do have all of the dates that *** and company may have been at my residence. The $3,000.00 was given in a trust that we would start on the work. After 2 weeks of no service and no responses, this is why I made the complaint.  As stated in the earlier response, if the agreed upon amount did not cover service calls, this was not discussed. In addition, *** stated he would refund $2,000 and this is what is expected.

    1.    I really don't see where this has anything to do with *****************************. (I can tell you that with American Home Sheild we can only charge what they tell us to charge) we have been with American Home ****** for 25 years.

    2.    ***************************** contacted my company on June 6, 2024, (there was never a contract, only discussions about the work needed) about the damage to her siding.

(Once we were involved with the insurance company that was the contract) We were talking to ************************* and emailing back and forth with *************************.  ***************************** to ************************* that we were the contractor that she wanted to go with for the job. So, we were communicating back and forth with ************************* on what had to be done. We called the companies to get bids for the Asbestos removal. At first ************************* ***************************** insurance agent wasn't going to pay for it to be removed. We went to bat for ***************************** to get it removed. Like I said there was a lot of time put into this job to help ***************************** to get done what needed to be done. If ***************************** wasn't hiring us for the job, why did she give us $3000.00 to get started on the job??

There were 3 bids for the job to remove Asbestos ***************************** turned into her insurance company the highest bid and she went with the lower bid and pocketed the rest of the money

    4. We did start putting the wrap on and it was getting dark we had to stop. We told ***************************** that we would be there the next day it would be in the afternoon because I had a A/C instill in the morning. When we got to ***************************** home, she said she had decided to leave the wood like it was. **** let her know that it would have to have stain, and something put on it to protect the wood. We offered to do that, and ***************************** stated that her uncle would be doing that for her. Once again, she had already told the insurance company that she would be having the whole home resided. She received the insurance money to have that done as well.

Also, there was no chips out of the insulation board. If you look at it, you can tell someone chipped that on purpose. Just like the hole that was put in the siding to get it all replaced. No, I haven't forgot about that. I can tell you that it was nobody from our company that did that. We did have 4 employees at the job site. Also, with all the trips that was made to ***************************** home. We didn't send her an invoice, but I can tell you our service calls are $95.00 per hour.

**** had let ***************************** know that he would be coming to get our dump trailer, Ladders and other equipment the next day

Also, we can call ************************* or **** from the insurance company if need be. Of course, we can also go to a higher up if we need to.

So once again We feel like there will be no REFUND.

    Thanks,

    **** & *******************************

I am attaching a document to explain my situation and experience with the company as it will not fit in this box. 2/19 and 2/20/24: J&J Mechanical came to inspect my furnace due to it continually shutting off ***** mins after it has been turned on. I was told on 2/19 it should be good to go. It shut off 5 mins after they left. Tech's names were *** and ******.2/20 - J&J Came back out and inspected the unit once again. I have provided additional comments in the attached document. I paid my AHS ********************* $125.00 for a Service Fee, on top of the $90.00 I pay monthly for their service. They are sending out a 2nd HVAC Company for additional inspection, as absolutely nothing but unprofessionalism was provided by J&J Mechanical. My dispute is this company spoke poorly of my house stating it was trashy, denied that what we (My son, myself and sons wife) saw with our own eyes was a lie. (noted in the Contractors Note). The business did absolutely nothing to solve the problem with my service, other than provide lip service. I fear for my safety after providing the complaint as I have no idea what may happen after this. The Dispatch Order Number (with AHS is #*********).J&J's Phone Numbers: **************,

    To whom it my concern,

I received a dispatch from American Home Shield for a Furnace call.  We called the customer and scheduled appointment. Set my Techs to the call. They checked the furnace and everything was working fine. ***************** was home at this time. on 2/20 we got a call from ***************** that the furnace wasn't working again. I sent my techs back out at this time ***************** wasn't home. Her son and a girl was there. At this time my tech let the son know that he needed to check air flow thru the vents. Once checking the vents my tech found that vents was closed off and others had boxes of stuff sitting over them. My tech let the son know that lack of air flow was the problem. My tech let him know that they needed to move the boxes off the vents. With the vents closed and blocked off with boxes this was causing the furnace to over heat which was tripping the breaker which is what the furnace should do. The son did have to lead my techs thru the house because there was stuff every where and one of my techs stumbled over something and almost fell. My tech did leave a card with ****'s son. I do want to let you know that neither one of these 2 techs smoke and if they did they would never enter into a home with a cigarette. I have never had a complaint on either of these techs for not being professional. My techs always introduce them selves, they all wear shirts that has company name and the techs name on them as well, ever there coats or hoodies.

This home was very messy with things every where.

Diagnosis at this time was: NO MECHANICAL FAILURE

This was all also entered on the American Home Shield file.

Please feel free to contact me ************ if you need further information.

    To whom this may concern,

I have spoken to both technicians. That was on this job. As I stated before neither of these technician's smoke. If one of my technicians needs to use the restroom, they always ask the customer first.

I have spoken to American home shield about the other company that was dispatched to ***************. Like I stated before there was no mechanical failure when my technicians were there. The furnace was over heating and kicking the breaker off, which it what it is designed to do. If the breaker is tripped to many times, it will cause the breaker to go bad. When my technicians were there the breaker was fine because they had checked it.

This is exactly what happened the breaker was bad once the other company came out. It was stated that because the furnace kept overheating and kicking the breaker it caused it to go bad. They replaced the breaker. They also said that the vents were open now.

If you should have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me at ************
