NEVER TAKE YOUR PET TO PREMIER Veterinary in *********. For anything. We had an ************** was available sooner than the specialist in Bannockburn. The doctor on call, *********************** is also the director. She was unprofessional & lacking when we first went in February when all this first happened. The next day we saw a much nicer doctor who worked with the Vet Specialist in Bannockburn. Fast forward to tonight, she's one of 2 doctors available. I communicated my concerns & preference. The nurse told ****************** my opinion & then decided to " punish " us by not treating our dog. I'm shocked. How unprofessional. I asked to speak with her after they had us waste time waiting to be seen. I never raised my voice, swore, nothing. I reminded her as a ER doctor she is supposed to put the care of animals first. She's created more stress for her. Her response was that we are not allowed to go back there. Clearly it was a mistake to even go there but we wanted our dog to be cared for. So, here we are back at VSP where we should have been the whole time.****************** refused ********** **** were told we could wait several more hours for another doctor that might be available "after they did their rounds"There was no concern at all or empathy for my pet whatsoever. For an available doctor to delay care out of spite is cause for concern. Perhaps an ethics review is in order

The online process for getting in line was not a smooth process. I kept receiving an error message and had to call to get someone to get me on the list. The vet techs delivery of the intake felt dismissive and rude. They separated our pet from us for simple vitals and simple procedures. I've never had a pet brought to a back without my presence for simple procedures. The vet recommend some very routine actions **** blood draw and said if the blood draw indicated the need that they would administer IV for fluids but that she seemed happy hydrated and likely didnt need them). He said it would be 30 minutes. They charged us for the care (including the unnecessary IV right then and we could hear the front desk call back to indicate we had paid before providing any care for our pet (something I've never experienced before). The vet comes back to tell us our pet has been distressed (after an hour of being separated from her for simple routine procedures that I've always seen conducted in the exam room). He wanted to (in my view unnecessarily) drug my pet to reduce her anxiety and refused to allow me be with my pet during the procedure. After much waiting in the examless exam room, after inquiring about when we'd talk to the vet several times over an hour. The vet came back and told us that they drugged our pet. We still had not received a price or signed off for the procedure. At this point we were consistently told it would be "30 min," "5 min," "20 min," etc over and over each time the time took at minimum twice what we were told. Our dog has been acting traumatized since the visit crying in ways Ive never heard before. I would not recommend this clinic if you have any other option based on our experience.
