    Took my truck to Atwater garage to
    Get some quotes on getting some work done. Was told it wasn’t going to cost
    That much by the owner. They had my
    Truck for approximately two weeks. They never called with any quotes whatsoever. They fixed things on the truck I never approved and then called me two weeks later saying I owed them 1753.00. I told them there’s no way I owe that much. I didn’t approve all of these charges. I was never given any type estimate at all. I was then told if I didn’t pay they were going to
    Keep my truck. They told me I needed to talk with the owner but would not call him or Give me his number. They said he would be back on Tuesday and this was a Friday that this matter happened. I had no choice but to pay the amount. To top it all off the things they charged me for were not even fixed. I realized this as soon as l left the shop. I even called them and complained that it wasn’t fixed. They told me again I needed to talk with the owner. I then called the owner **** on Tuesday and about mid conversation he hung up on me. I told him I wanted at the least some sort of refund. I called him back from another number and he hung up on me again as soon as he realized it was me again. I really feel like I was taken advantage of for a lot of hard earned money. I asked the wife which is one of the people at the shop who forced
    Me to pay if this was standard procedure not to give a quote before fixing or
    Charging a customer for work done and she
    Even said absolutely not and said she couldn’t believe no one called but said I still had to pay. Mind you this is not just any truck. This is a classic vehicle that has had a lot of money put in so there was no way I was leaving it there. I have never experienced any mechanics shop operate so dishonestly and do work without asking or calling and giving you a quote and then just charge you whatever they want.

    **** ***** ORIGINALLY HAD AN APPOINTMENT ON MAY 8.  HE REQUESTED TO HAVE THE DRIVELINE VIBRATION ADDRESSED.  WE FOUND HE HAD INSTALLED A LOWERING KIT AND THE DRIVELINE WAS OUT OF ALIGNMENT.  THE CUSTOMER HAD ALSO INSTALLED AN AFTERMARKET CROSSMEMBER & EXHAUST SYSTEM MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO RESHIM REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND TRANS CROSSMEMBER.  AN ESTIMATE COULDN'T BE DONE BECAUSE NOTHIN WAS ORIGINAL.  AFTER 3-4 PHONE CALLS WITH THE CUSTOMER I EXPLAINED WHAT WE HAD DONE AND TOLD HIM THE DRIVESHAFT HAD ALSO BEED DAMAGED FROM A PREVIOUS U-JOINT FAILURE. HE STATED HE KNEW ABOUT THE ISSUE AND AGREED FOR ME TO HAVE A NEW DRIVESHAFT BUILT.  I TOLD HIM A CUSTOM DRIVESHAFT WOULD BE CHEAPER THAN ONE FROM THE PARTS STORE BUT DIDNT KNOW AN EXACT PRICE.  THE DRIVESHAFT WAS IN FACT A $250 CHEAPER THAN OUR LOCAL PARTS STORE. THE CUSTOMER CALLED AGAIN AND WANTED THE TIMING CHECKED, THE HARMONIC BALANCER CHECKED, A TRANSMISION SEAL REPLACED (CUSTOMER SUPPLIED SEAL), AND A QUOTE TO REPAIR THE A/C IF IT WAS GOINT TO BE REALLY EXPENSIVE.   I TOLD HIM TO QUOTE THE A/C I WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE THE SYSTEM TO CHECK FOR LEAKS.   HE AGREED THAT WAS OK. I WAS ABLE TO FIX THE A/C WITH VERY LITTLE EXPENSE. THE CUSTOMER SHOWED UP TO PICK U[P THE TRUCK AND MADE A HUGE SCENE YELLING, CUSSING, AND CALLIN G EVERYONE HERE EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK.   HE WANTED TO TAKE THE TRUCK WITHOUT MAKING ANY SORT OF PAYMENT.   HE THEN PROCEDED TO CALL 50-75 TIMES IN A 3 HR PERIOD AND LEFT COUNTLESS MESSAGES ON MODAY ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE AND HARRASSING EVERYNE WHO WORKS HERE.  I TRIED TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH HIM BUT ALL HE COULD DO IS YELL AND SCREAM SO I QUIT ANSWERING THE PHONE.  HE SAID ALL HE WANTS IS HIS MONEY BACK BUT WAS NOT INTERESTED IN LETTING US CHECK OUT ANY ISSUES HE WAS STILL HAVING WITH THE TRUCK
