**** came to the house in September 2023 to look over my "want list." I told him it would have to be completed by Thanksgiving, as I was leaving town. We signed a contract on October 3, 2023 for a $4,000.00 deposit (supplies) and within a week I had added to the list and gave him another check for $1,500.00.List:1. Dec repair, replace several supporting beams, a small landing, and the entire railing.2. Hallway ceiling would have the attic access enlarged to install a stairway.3. A small room would need one wall framed with door.4. Baseboards in dining and living room.5. Shelves in small room.6. Trim around skylight.Electrical work: Small Room: Outlets on 2 walls, switch near door, track lighting on ceiling Replace 2 light fixtures downstairs Replace GFI Switch in kitchen Install outlet in attic for doorbell There was company crew, and **** was going to do all the work in the evenings, he had failed to mention any of this beforehand. His time spent working at my home amounted to ***** hours, much of which was spent talking on the phone. Every time I went downstairs to find out how everything was going, I would find him out at his truck, on the phone. All supplies were either leftover from previous projects, or purchases I had made. None of the $5,500.00 was used for supplies. What items on the list that were finished Installed track lighting, repaired wall after cutting for installation. Replaced GFI outlet in kitchen Ran wiring, installed outlet for doorbell Put up a frame, but not the wall $1,000.00 for the amount of work done would be generous. No supplies were purchased. $4,500.00 should be returned. The last time he showed up, he said that he would come one more time to clean up and return the rest of the money. I have not seen or heard from him since.I filed a complaint with the Attorney General&#**;s Office complaint no. CC-2024-44-****** I thought he might have financial problems, so I gave him time to pay it back. I now feel it was a scam and if the H363137**3238313831H is unable to arbitrate, I will contact my attorney.
