We purchased a used 2021 Tesla Model S from the Platinum Motorsports dealer in Hickory Hills. We specifically asked whether the car was a prior salvage or been involved in an accident, and were told no and it was a clean car with no accident history. The title they gave us did not indicate a prior salvage/rebuilt. We registered the car in **, who issued us a prior salvage title based on their VIN search of the NMVTIS database that showed the car was salvaged in **. Platinum has committed fraud in selling us this prior salvage vehicle at full market value and never indicated it was even in an accident much less salvaged. We spent three weeks trying to resolve this with Platinum. They initially acknowledged the car needs to go back to them and they had to refund us, with no definitive timeline on when either would occur. This week they have began ignoring our calls entirely. We do t feel safe driving our child around in this car. We would have never purchased it had we been truthfully informed of the vehicles history.

    Hello,
Platinum Motorsports purchased this vehicle from Sands Chevrolet in *******, AZ Via ACV Auctions on 12/01/2021 with a clean title and a clean Carfax. Platinum Motorsports sold the vehicle to ***************************** of Chesterfield, Mo on 3/18/23 in the same condition that it was purchased. Once the Purchaser received the title from the lien holder she noticed the Salvaged brand on the title. The Purchaser did her due diligence and found out that the Salvage was from the state of ********** from 2021. The Purchaser reached out to platinum Motorsports for an explanation. Platinum Motorsports reached out to Sands Chevrolet for more information on the Vehicle. Sand obtained a title from the state of AZ on 12/28/2022 which was not branded, and did not have any other information. Platinum Motorsports reached to to ACV Auctions who is the broker with the purchase. ACV auction stated that they will investigate the situation. Platinum Motorsports world closely with the Purchaser to resolve the problem by initiating a conference call with Sands Chevrolet and ACV Auction representative. ACV Auction informed Platinum Motorsports last week that they spoke to the state of CA and that the Salvage brand was deemed in clerical error and that they will work with the state of CA to remove the branding which will take a few weeks. Platinum Motorsports contacted the Purchaser via phone and email with the good new. Platinum Motorsports, ACV Auctions and the Purchaser are waiting to resolve the issue with the state of CA which will resolve the issue with the state of MO to the branding on the title and the Carfax. Attached are the documents when Platinum Motorsports purchased the vehicle.
