I was involved in an car accident on 12/22/2023, the damage on my vehicle was only to the front passenger side which included the passenger doors and front side panel (closer to passenger door). The ************************** reached out to Powers Towing to take both of the vehicles involved in the accident. I have pictures of my car and the damage that it had from the accident. Powers Towing took my vehicle from the scene of the accident and placed it in there tow yard. Then 2-3 hours later a second tow company Prime Time Towing that was contracted by my insurance State Farm picked up my vehicle and dropped it off at the repair shop Car Star in Hillside. My vehicle incurred extensive damages to the front bumper, and other components under the car, and I have pictures from Prime Time Towing showing that the damage was already there in Powers Towing lot. When I arrived at Car Star (This is where I saw my vehicle had extra damage that was not from the accident) I informed them and was told the vehicle was dropped off like that and the damage did not happen there when it got dropped off. I went to Powers Towing lot to discuss the damages incurred and asked if they could provide proof the damages did not happen on there lot and I was essentially "brushed off" the person at the desk did not care and said they where not required to show me anything, and that if I want to see pictures of my car I should have taken them myself at the accident. They have been avoiding me since the day of the accident. I also filed a complaint with Powers Towing insurance company ************************* there policy number is ********* and phone number ************. The complaint was filed on 1/08/2024 and to this date I have not received any type of update from the insurance company. They are giving me the same run around, saying they cannot get in contact with their insured (Powers Towing), it has been almost 3 months since the accident and I havent had any real conversation with them.

Powers towing hauled my car away and said it was not allowed to park there even after i called the owners parking spot and property manager powers towing charged me for the amount instead of communicating with the owners parking spot. They would not take any form of payment only cash even though i had a debit card and credit card in the 2am at night. The company was forcing me to pay cash only since they wanted me to only pay the money to struggle getting cash and leave the car longer in they're property to charge me more. My car also had cosmetic damage since they're towing ************* had glass, metal, and other materials from cars being destroyed and for being uncleaned of debris in they're property.

I was given permission to park at a parking spot at my friend's apartment. It was his spot and we even called the land lord to make sure it was ok. An hour later i find out my car is gone. It was towed by powers company. They damaged my engine and took my car without any cause besides the fact they want to a quick profit. The sign on the parking lot has a different name and logo. Also i made an effort to complain to the land lord and he said that he did not give anybody permission to tow any vehicle. They said that they were called in to remove the car for somebody's car to be parked but we knew they were lying since it was friends parking spot. I dont understand why the state or any body within our state authority allows people take peoples cars to make a profit. These people are willing to lie and make excuses for their actions. What makes this situation more desearning is the fact the police know the scams but won't even file a police report based on the fact that they get a cut of the money since powers company pays the state for every tow. I work for the *** department and they are not allowed to run scams in this manner.
