    I spoke to ***** and we agreed 1 year ****** mile warranty and $3200 on engine replacement. ***** told me to bring it to Homer **** although he was in Lombard & much closer yet ***** says he will be my contact person. I wait 2 hours after inspection which comes back same as other inspection & what I brought it in for. I never got written contract. Then they text me. I speak to **** the *********** told him what ********* agreed to yet I still never got contract. Also he wants huge fee for paying with card-how else pay with cash & to keep car yet they still never corrected the contract.

    Customer requested a quote for a used engine replacement and demanded the job be done for $3500 as that is her budget and is a single mom and cannot afford to spend anymore and that a 1 year warranty on the part is a must. We reasoned with the customer in regards to her budget, even allowed for large parts to be supplied by the customer (radiator, fluids, spark plugs, etc.) to limit her expenses. No engine is available within the budget of the customer and her expectations, this was clearly communicated to her that the only option in that price range is a 6 month warranty that is provided from the used engine supplier and is not through us as we cannot warranty outside parts based on our policy. Customer received an emailed and text version of the estimate which was $3500 pre-tax and credit card fees. We've done our best to please them, however in end the customer chose to take her car elsewhere as we cannot find an engine within her budget and her demands. It's simply not possible. Customer was not charged for any diagnosis time, storage fees or time spent by service writers to track down locate and quote an engine. Customer is simply delusional and out of touch with reality.
