I can't give this insurance a 1 star because they do cover a lot. It's just the constant flight I have to go through with the doctor offices. Just like everyone else have said, no one heard of them and they think they don't take them. I have to hassle the office just to get them to call the providers line so they can verify. It's great having an open network plan so I can go anywhere but the offices don't know that there's a such thing!

Nobody has ever heard of them. Nobody takes them, not even for emergency services.

Worst company. I agree with everything everyone has said. Not helpful, website/apps are terrible, no one has ever heard of these plans. I have been told multiple different timelines and excuses for why my claims of over 3 months still haven't been accepted/reviewed/finalized or whatever. If you have the option, choose a different company. 32 reviews and all the reviews are bad should tell you everything you need to know.

The BAS/ELAP business model must be the brainchild of a heartless accountant. The employer is the insurer and makes money off plan payments rather than subsidizing them like most companies. In my case, the premiums are much, much higher than any other plan I've seen. This in itself is unethical, but it doesn't stop there. BAS administers the plan, and they routinely leave large balance bills for the patient to escalate to ELAP, the legal arm of this scheme. ELAP seems to use delaying tactics (and who knows what else) to get providers to lower the amount owed, but this process takes months. I have had several bills go to collections before the payments were resolved, and I have one in collections now. I hope this information helps others avoid being stuck in my situation.

I fell for this pitch with a former employer this not insurance. None of my Dr's heard of it, but they told me they are providers on the network. I believe they just use doctors names number from directory and said they were part of plan. Now, 2023 my current employer got another BS#### cramp calling it insurance charging upto $2000.00 for this trash. I rather no star rating.

If your company uses BAS (now being called ***********) as their claim manager. Run! It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get my surgery approved and agreed on that is part of my cancer treatment because they say they work with all providers but providers do not understand /want to work with them as they just try to get the price lower than what those providers normally accept. I just keep getting we are working on it type responses and its been so slow and frustrating. They obviously pitch this to employers as a way to save money but it really ***** employees and their dependents who need regular access to their health care and in my opinion its discriminatory.

Please tell me why these people are allowing " all businesses" they do buisness with to market them as an insurance provider and pay them $600 a month when they pay no where near the bill total. This seems fraudulent. My credit is about to be ruined for a **** new patient w/ immunizations visit. trying to buy a house and now I'm on the brink of denial. If you're not an insurance company then why the stupid cards you give us to hand providers. you're ripping hard working Americans off and not paying or timely. Save yourselves the stress people, if your employer offers this c*** buy your own or find another job. This is worse than c*** why would people pay for insurance that isn't insurance. Most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I think we all should take all of our documents, insurance cards, employer marketing used ect and send to our attorney generals.......

This company is the only option from my employer. I sent my doctors office a copy of my card, they told me "sorry we never heard of this company" and will not accept this insurance. Calling around to other doctors, same thing. Responses I see from BAS - "BAS is not an insurance company. We are only the claims processor." Then why are they listed as my insurance provider with my employer? Hopefully the person in HR who fell for this Robo call scam company gets fired.

My employer switched to this from Florida Blue worst mistake ever. When open enrollment comes I will be dropping. This has put me in the poor house. I had file bankruptcy because nothing is covered.
