I was given a proposal from Improvements by the Brook LLC on 06-01-2023 in the amount of $6000.00 for a total bathroom remodel. The proposal included all demolition, drywall installation, drywall sanding, painting new toilet, set new tub, new vanity and all fixtures. Mr. ********* agreed to sand and paint the bathroom doors, paint the ceiling and haul off all demo material. I paid $3000.00 up front and $3200.00 when the project was "done". Mr. ********* did not set the tub, I had to pay a plumber to set the tub, Mr. ********* also stated he was able to do the plumbing for the shower, toilet and sink, however once again I had to pay a plumber to complete these jobs. He also removed only a partial amount of the old paneling and left old paneling in place and just painted over it (he did not even paint over the old paneling behind the vanity, so now when I open the vanity I see the old paneling, he did not remove any paneling in the closet) I also noted and voiced my concerns that the doors and the ceiling were not completed and he did not haul off the demolition remains. His response was that he would do that at a later date. I do not wish for him to remodel the bedroom attached to this bathroom so I would like him to come and haul off the remaining demolition items. I have multiple pictures of his subpar work and I have had to spend endless hours repairing his work myself. I imagined my bill would be less since the plumber had to be paid to do all the plumbing, however when I received my "final" bill it was $3200.00, not the agreed "$3000.00". Upon asking about the charge he handed me receipts and stated there were additional charges. After looking at the receipts it appears I paid for a new Caulking gun, bags of 100 work rags etc. Upon trying to communicate with Mr. ********* his response to me was that I was a rude woman and I can "deal with it myself". He refuses to come haul off the demo items.
