**** came to my home for the 3rd time on Wednesday February 23rd at 4:30pm to address the fireplace he had started fixing for us back in December 2021. There were parts missing from his original work start date, so he had to come back multiple times to address and bring the remainder of the parts. When he came on February 23rd, he moved some of the fireplace ***** around and put some new sand. At the time of his visit, he was rushed. When he showed me, what was done I told him I was not satisfied. I was worried that the fire was too close to the back wall in addition I was not satisfied with the end product. **** stated to me that he is in a hurry and will come back to fix the issues. He asked that I look online to see what other pictures I liked, he stated he might need to change the esthetic of the fireplace as he isnt sure what else to do with the current setup. He mentioned that this is his first time he has done a fireplace like this and he didnt know that the ***** would burn as quickly as they did. I informed him that I am pretty set on the look, that I had shared with him before he started that this is what I wanted. He told me he was in a hurry but will definitely come back to address. On February 25th, I turned on the fireplace and let it run for 15minutes, after 15minutes I was smelling a very strong odor. I realized very quicky that this smell was coming from the fireplace and it was carbon monoxide. I quickly turned off the fireplace. I called **** with no answer. I called again March 3d and again March 4th. I left a message on March 4th stating that I can smell a very strong smell of carbon monoxide. After not hearing from him I sent a text message on Saturday March 12th. He told me not to touch it, turn it off he will come to address. I have called and texted 5 times after this conversation and **** has yet to address. He has completely ghosted me and my concern. I paid $3200 for this work that was not completed and is a safety hazard to my fam
