      They say that you get an education when you remodel your home. You either learn upfront by doing your own research, vet all the companies that are bidding on the work, get everything priced out including materials, labor, scope, time frame, etc or you simply trust the remodeling company with the lowest bid, telling you they can do anything, and that they do great work and it will be done the right way. The other way is by learning the hard way and having to pay for it when the work isn't done correctly and/or in some cases not even to code. Do not use this company. There were multiple red flags before and during that we shouldn't have ignored. Like the high-pressure call from the owner asking us "are we accepting their bid or not because if not he'll move on", or listening to them when they advised us to not apply for permits saying they knew all the inspectors and it was ok because they would park in our garage and could pay fines to any inspectors directly if someone stopped and inspected the job, or texting us pictures of the ceiling when we asked for pictures of the new duct work being rerouted under but windows under our bedroom floors. With a tight budget, parenting three kids under 4 yrs of age, and having gone under contract selling our home in *******, we were simply overwhelmed, had no time to research anything before we needed to move in 3 months later, so we decided to swallow our fears and sign their contract as it was the lowest bid and we had their assurances everything would be great. Unfortunately for us, without permits, we have no recourse for the mistakes that were made and have been paying new/different contractors ever since, to fix things as we find them. There is absolutely no way we would ever allow this company back in our home.
