    The owner, ***********************, contacted me directly through my personal email address harassing me about feedback I had left in a survey about his Anytime Fitness franchise location in Lakemoor, **. In his email to me, he said The comments made were quite insulting. even though none of my feedback was at all rude, disrespectful, crass, untrue, or even exaggerated. He then went on to make remarks as responses to each piece of feedback I had provided in the survey. Each of his responses were, to be plain, very bratty and somewhat condescending. At the end of his email, he wrote Perhaps another location would better suit your expectations.. I didnt respond to his email beyond stating that I would simply reach out to corporate about his response. He replied to this by writing It's best you find another location to go to.We don't tolerate disrespectful behavior.. None of what I noted in my feedback was disrespectful, and when I was using his gym my actual in-person behavior was also nothing but respectful, both toward his facility, staff, and other members. I have been in contact with Anytime Fitness corporate representatives who tell me there is no way for them to make *****, the owner, cancel my membership or release it so I can start paying my monthly membership fees to a different location within the chain. So, because *************** handle getting negative feedback about his poorly cared for and generally neglected location, ** stuck paying him $18 twice monthly for nothing. Whats better is that the next nearest Anytime Fitness location is twice the distance from my home, but its closing down at the end of May, so Ill have to go even farther. I have disabilities and dont have the time or budget for this. Corporate supposedly cant do anything about this matter and told me to contact you. Please help me.

    Gym membership Beginning: 06/02/2022, Membership term 12 months 6wk challenge + 2/wk personal training for 6mo Down payment of $199, Monthly membership dues 49$, Payment plan of 78$ per/wk for 6mo. I signed up with a manger (DK) for a 6 week fitness program of 3x/wk group fitness courses followed by 2x/wk personal training for 6mo. This was initially advertised on ******** as a 6wk program for $199, but I was signed up for more by the manager. I attended the 6 weeks of group fitness classes and when it came to the point of signing up with a personal trainer, all of the trainers had quit due to poor management by the owner ***********************. With this being the case I emailed Anytime Fitness Lakemoor on Aug. 8, 2022, with the desire to cancel my membership due to the services they were unable to provide, and ***** refused to resolve the issue, saying that a trainer was available. This was not the case, the trainer ***** was only available for group fitness and not individual training sessions. Additionally ***** attempted to describe my contract to me with lies about what I had signed up for and when called out on his lies, he continued to asked for more money. On Dec. 9, 2022, I received a call from ************************************** regarding collections of $598.00 to resolve my issues with Anytime. I paid them over the phone and was told that I was done with Anytime. However, I received an email today Feb. 14, 2023 from ******* & ASSOCIATES, P.C. regarding further debt payment in the total of $3,393.00 with a 30 day collection window. After speaking with the current manager of Anytime Fitness Lakemoor today (Feb. 14, 2023), I was told that when I asked to cancel that ***** should have had me fill out a personal training cancelation form and did not, there was no further resolution.
