    Business Response

    Good morning,

This is ****** Garcia, I am responding to the letter I received a couple of days ago, I met Mrs. ************* at the gym she told me how she was struggling to find someone to install a barn door at her house. I offered myself to help her on September 19th at eight AM. we had a conversation when we got there, my cousins and I. After we shared ideas she told me she did not want to spend about 700 dollars on a barn door, I offered her to come with us to ********** and select the door she would like and we did that. She picked a door she payed for it and materials, we went back to her house we had to build a piece of actual wall from the ceiling down to reach the measurements of the door. I explained to her what we had to do to install it, we both agreed. Then she asked me if we were able to finish painting the high ceilings of the living room because she couldn't reach. We also finish painting one of the high walls. That same day, around five PM, we finished everything, we shook hands and everything seemed to be okay, that same night close to ten PM she sent me a text message saying he had to talk. I gave her a call the next morning, and asked what was wrong, she said she didn't like the door, I replied -" That is why we took you to ********** to choose the door that you liked" she told me she wanted me to go back, take that door out and install a new one, i said to her my schedule for that week was full, i told her she would have to wait for me, and after that I was disappointed the way she was treating me because i offered my help, she told me she was going to sue me, even though i don't like those threats i told her to wait for me when i would have some time i would go over and help her but she would have to pay for me taking it out and reinstall the new one. And then i received a letter from her with a Demand as a ******. i stopped answering her because i did exactly what she told me the first time. Now i feel threatened and i feel harassed for trying to help her that is why i stopped answering her.

    Thank you very much

I am rejecting this response because: it is not an accurate description of what transpired,
****** Garcia did not remove this door after promising to do so requesting more money, and reimbursing me for the supplies his worker took without my permission,  I had it removed and I still have not received his itemized receipt for the work performed for the cash he received from me

    Sincerely,

Hi this is ****** Garcia responding to Mrs. **************** am here to resolve this issue the best way possible, If she says the door has been removed and installed already this is what I'm willing to offer her. Give her a credit of ****** dollars in addition to the ***** dollars of a quart of a bag of plaster that my coworkers threw away.

I'm going to restate on what I agreed to do, I went to her house to try to help her and bring her to the store so she could choose a door of her choice, I then build a required piece of wall to install the door. We also finished painting the high ceilings and a section of a high wall that was missing painting.

We even helped her to finish plastering a high ceiling in one of her bathrooms, in which she wasn't charged for that service.

    sincerely, ****** Garcia

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me with the itemized receipt included. I don't understand why  he refuses to give me an itemized receipt for the money. Is there something on it wherein he is scamming me, like charging me $200 for each door when what was installed was a sliding set that he picked out? Plus I only said that it was removed.  The space requires French doors and he said he was a professional!!

The Markham courthouse told me to send him the Demand letter.

Since his public image and goodwill to customers needs improvement--How soon am I getting this refund and the itemized receipt since he has issues keeping his word?

    Sincerely,
