      On August 15, 2024 A&J Plumbing and Heating replaced the hot water heater in my home. Just days after the hot water from bathtub ran very slow. I have tried and tried to contact the company making tons of calls and leaving tons of messages. The calls are always answered by their voicemail and say they will return the call as soon as possible. No return calls, texts, or emails from this business. They took the money and ran with no way to contact them. My water heater is under warranty and this business cannot be reached.

      This is the only way I could send this receipt which I copied from the email receipt they sent to me. The format in which I could copy was not accepted by your system.  This is an honest complaint regarding work and problems that I encountered.

      We did replace her water heater, after installed we checked water flow from all fixtures.

      The only one that was problematic was the faucet in her bedroom, but we cleaned out the strainer. 

      Everything was fine after that.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Business, A&J, has/did NOT reach out to me as indicated this week.  Their response is not completely factual.  They have never answered or returned a call, text or email.  I paid them in full (maybe a mistake).  The service and product remain under warranty and the fact that they immediately cut off all contact and communication with me demonstrates their dishonesty and lack of integrity. I am astounded by their response here when they have never attempted to resolve this matter.  And still didn't honor their word.

      I must emphasize that the customers statements in the complaint are false. Specifically:
      1.Deposit and Work Completed: It is incorrect to state that I received a deposit and then stopped working. I received 30% of the total job as a deposit, which aligns with standard industry practices. This deposit covered the demolition and debris removal, which was successfully completed.
      2.Allegation of Substance Use: I was shocked to read in the letter mailed to my home that the customer alleged I was under the influence while working. This claim is baseless, cannot be proven, and is entirely untrue. Such accusations are defamatory and do not reflect the professionalism I uphold in my work.
      3.Timeline Misrepresentation: I never stated that the job would take seven days. The demolition phase, which was particularly challenging due to the age of the home (with two layers of drywall and mesh backing), was completed successfully. This phase accounted for approximately 30% of the job.
      4.Scope of the Work: The scope of the job included a small bathroom tile area, and the demolition portion was a substantial part of the work. To request a full refund for services that were completed properly is not fair or reflective of the circumstances.
      Lastly, I must clarify that we were terminated without cause and without breaching any part of our contract. This was not due to any failure on my part to fulfill the agreed-upon terms.
      I kindly request the BBB to reconsider the facts provided and provide clarity on what additional information or actions are required to resolve this matter effectively.
