My son was seen on 3/3/23 by *************************. I asked about the invoice, and she said it would be sent out. He was seen again on 3/15/23 when I asked about the invoice for the first one again. It was posted in the online portal on 3/29/23 almost a month after the appointment. My son had another appointment on 4/3/23. They called and said I had to pay the bill to see the doctor that day. I asked them why it took them a month to send the bill and now I only get 2 business days to pay it. They said if i could pay something my son could keep his therapy appointment. I gave them a onetime payment of $40 over the phone going towards that bill. They ended up calling back and said ************************* would not see him due to the outstanding balance. I have never had this happen with a medical professional. I then told them I was not coming back, and they could go ahead and send the rest of the bill to collections. They called me every week and left voicemails saying they were going to send my bill to collections. Instead of sending the bill to collections they charged the card I gave them for the onetime payment over the phone. When I gave them the card for the payment, they said nothing about keeping it on file or I would not have given it to them. They did not tell me they would keep attempting to charge that card either. I was only told the bill would be sent to collections. My card is now also locked into their online portal, and I am not able to delete it. I did not authorize them to put this card on the portal. I only gave it to them for a onetime payment over the phone. I have a different debit card I use for internet transactions for identity safety. When i called them to get some information about it **** told me "I had to look at it for a business perspective". I have seen a lot of doctors and no other medical professional has ever done any of these things.
