    In July 2024, we hired coastal moving services, believing them to be a direct moving company. Without our knowledge or consent, they brokered the move to Unlimited, Moving and Storage (******** based). What followed was a bait-and-switch pricing scheme in which our quoted cost more than doubled under false claims of additional volume. Our items were mishandled, many were damage or stolen and we were given misleading or falsified contracts. Despite filing claims and filing of 4 weeks, we received no compensation or resolution. We've since discovered that these companies have received dozens of nearly identical complaints on public performance, including Yelp and the BBB.

    I paid this company ***** as well as paid Coastal moving ***** dollars. When I got my belongings many items missing many items broken. I contacted the company I have gotten no where with this company. This company should not be in business. As follows are my stuff lost or damaged. Bar stool chair which was old. Exercises stepper, 2 Queen sizes beds were new . Tape all over mattress when I bought the plastic to cover them. *********** all torn. Wood toy box wheel busted off. Many broken glass items as well as a very old wooden cabinet broke a piece off of it. Many broken boxes and bought all new from *****. Missing and broken stuff I want my money back. I can never buy these items again. The worst company I have ever done business with in all the years of my life.

    I am relocating for a new job and back in December reached out to a small number of moving companies in an effort to do my due diligence. I chose the provider Im going with and never heard from Unlimited Moving + Storage in regards to a quote for my move until ***** ***** decided to kamikaze dial, text and email me messages I take to be harrassing. I told her I had chosen a provider and she told me that my name is scattered all over the Broker Boards and that I should be interested in her swooping in and saving the ****** completely appalled because she then proceeded to send me an email AND THEN again (5 days later) reach out to mekeep in mind I already told ***** that Ive engaged services elsewhere and that should have been the end of it on Monday. It ******** confused as to why all of a sudden now the vested interest in my business when no one could be bothered to contact me in December when I truly needed a quote and ************** writing here in hopes that this business STOP harassing me!!! I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR SERVICES!

    We paid to move our property across country. We had no contact with the movers until we threatened to not sign the agreement. We were not given the option on what to chose or what we could sign. Our property was damaged. Thousands of dollars of property have gone missing.

    12/06/2024 First contact, with the broker who hired the movers from Unlimited Moving and Storage.12/18/24 Quote of $3723.78 given to me, I paid $1900, expected to pay another $800 upon pickup, and another $800 upon delivery.12/21/24 The movers arrived, handed me a contract similar to the one I signed previously when paying my deposit both the first and second time. The contract was explained to me by a man who did not speak English, so this explanation included him pointing and saying "sign" on various papers. I did read the papers, and they included all of the exact same information I signed off on on both the 6th and the 18th so I signed the papers and the man then pointed to a number on his phone screen which was ******. This was to be my second installment of payment (out of 3) with the final being given upon delivery. I paid using the same debit card once more and the men began loading my items. Over an hour later the man comes up to me again, and begins pointing to a number on his phone screen, and saying "cash." The number is ****** and I do not know why he is asking for this now as I was informed the final payment would be made upon delivery. The man is pointing to 5 boxes on the floor, and the mattress that two other men are in the process of removing from my home. He continues to point to his phone, my house, and the truck, and say "cash." I begin calling the company at this point, because this is suddenly very fishy to me. No one answers. I have called the customer service line 5 times, and the person I spoke to about my quote the very first time I call 2 times. I get no response. I text this person many times over the course of this event and still receive no response. I make another payment of this number via my debit card and the man takes the contracts from my hands and begins writing on them. The contracts now have a new total amount and a noted extra payment of $1728.53 that is now to be made upon delivery. I have still not received my items.

    On 8/21/2023, we had movers come pick up our items at our home to move us from ********* to *****. We have a text where they said that if we used less room we would be charged less. Day of, they charged us the full amount even though we used less space. They said they do not broker out but the truck that showed up to the old house and the truck that showed up to the new house were two different trucks with a different business name on each. They delivered on September 6 and we are missing over 20 boxes and a dog crate. They told us we had to pay the remainder of the $3999.13 before they unloaded anything and that we had to sign before they left. When we contacted the company they didn't even bother to look for our things. The bill of lading states "We have checked the items listed and numbered from 1 to __" and the end number is blank. At the bottom it reads "Into Storage" and "Out of Storage" and there is no name or signature for either. We were never told that our property would be put into storage only that it would be door to door. When we called to notify them of our missing items they did confirm that it was in storage. At some point our things had to have gotten moved to another truck or something because the driver told us that he passed his house to get to us so two men from ***** didn't drive our property directly from *********** to ***********. The company told us to file an insurance claim so we did and waited for months for them to tell us that they wouldn't accept our claim. The insurance claim also states that they put our items in storage. The company tried to give us $500 instead, but that doesn't cover most of what we lost not including memorabilia and family items, pictures, items from my son that passed away that I literally cannot replace.

    I hired Coastal Movers from *********** ** to ************** **.. They sent this totally inept, stealing, destructive local movers. I HAD NO SAY , they showed up at noon were not out till midnight. Used 3 x the boxes necessary ,broke an antique coffee table and tried to hide it along with numerous other dire damages that were totally preventable. The " BOSS" ****** ******* was an arrogant ,condescending, MISOGYINIST . I had to have a complete pack because I was Pos-Op from major surgery. They destroyed a toilet bowl ceramic by using an ENTIRE roll of toilet paper , plugging it up, then using something metal to shove it down. I had to replace it $500. ****** would not take responsibility for his "CREW" of probably illegals. None spoke ENGLISH. $31,000 at the end and I still do not have my supposedly repaired table. I seek damages of at least half

    In July 2024, I contracted with this company to move approximately 50 items from *********, IL to ***************, **. I paid to have a tv packed and shipped. I have a photo of the tv that is broken now that was packed inappropriately and felll to the bottom of the load inside the truck upon arrival. A golf bag was also wedged and damaged. 6 items were missing. Missing items were notated on inventory. $1400 in damaged/missing items.

    We hired this company to move us from ******** to *******. They picked up our items Aug 14, dropped them off at a warehouse in ******, reloaded them a few days later onto another truck and delivered them to our new house Aug 19. They lost 12 boxes. We have the numbers of the boxes that were not delivered and I have provided that to them. I have contacted them more than 10 times, with only getting to speak to someone (******) twice. She informed me I needed to file the paperwork with their third party insurer (CSI), which I did and and *** confirmed on Sept 17 all the paperwork was in order. Since then, I have left over multiple messages (voice and text) with no return call or text. It is now Oct 15 and we still have no response, despite calling again today. ****** originally said someone named *** owned the company and he would get back to me. Never happened. I have offered to go to their warehouse here in ****** and help them look. No response. At this point, I don't hold out any hope we will get our stuff back - but I don't want to give up. I just want to hear from these people on what they are doing, what we should be doing next, etc. Hoping this will wake them up and just answer my call!!

    They picked up my belongings in *************, ******** and were moved to ******, **********. In between the pick-up and delivery my items were stored at their facility in ******* for a month. My complaint is that all of my fragile items came broken in new boxes that were NOT mine and they stole my most expensive box with all my electronics. I went through the claim process and they compensated me nothing after $6,000 worth of items were stolen. I know they were not lost due to the fact that immediately after I realized they were stolen, I logged into my accounts to see that someone has been playing on all my video games consoles that were stolen. They told me they lost the box but I know they went through all my belongings after seeing all my broken items after opening my boxes post delivery. I am extremely upset as some of the items stolen had not only high monetary value but sentimental value as well.
