      I hired Legal Advocates tp represent me to resolve mortgage payment issues with my Mortgage lender ***************************** in march of 2021. I waas informed to not pay my mortgage but pay them directly. The informed me they were licensed to practive in ******* as my home is located in ***************. I gave them ***** of ******** back in March of 2021. They informed me at the very least/worst case scenario, the money that i didn't pay my mortgage company, per their advice, would be put at the back end of my loan. They also said they would get a $20K balloon payment removed from my loan and possibly get me a modification. But worst case would put the unpaid payments to the back of my loan. I was only 2 payments behind when I took on Legal Advocates as legal counsel. Ultimately this year, I learned Legal Advocates was not even licensed to work in Indian and never has been. The owner/ ******** ********************************* informed me he was sorry for his team telling me not to pay my mortgage and he would fix it and take on my care personally. I asked him directly if he could work in ******* as my old lawyer informed me to ask him this question. ******* informed he can work in *******. earlier this year we learned this master plan to for a Modification did not work because i have a private lender which they knew the first month I paid them back in March of 2021 because they had my entire mortgage file and had ***** of attorney. Also, my mortgage company did not put my unpaid mortgage [payments at the end of my loan as they assured me they would at a worst-case scenario. Then this year ******* admits he is not licensed to work in ******* after i asked the same question to him again via email this time. So tp recap: I came to Legal Advocates only behind 2 payments and there was discrepancy of that. I thought I was up to date with payments which is why I went to Legal Advocates in the first place. Now I am behind $20K. Malpractice!!!

      It was advertised on the radio that Grants were available for homeowners for home improvement/mortgage etc. and that we could file with The Legal Asvocates Team in ********, ********. I made an appointment and I had to pay $500 for an application fee. I turned in the requested documentation That was in February. Since then Ive called once a month and Ikept getting the run around. Yesterday I received a letter from the ******** ******************* telling me my application was denied because the email address that was submitted was associated with a legal aid organization that is not a participating program partner. I contacted legal advocates and asked for a refund of my $500. That I scraped up to give them. I only work part time and Im taking care of an elderly disabled parent.I want a refund!

      In Feb 2022 I obtained the services of the Legal Advocate team to assist me with a mortgage modification. I was initially charge $750.00 and a $500 monthly. During the following I received no type documentation or progress notification. In order to find out if any progress was made. I had to reach out to them. I would call mortgage company to find out if the Legal Advocates team were working with them on the modification. The mortgage company stated they had spoke with no one. Finally the mortgage company offered me modification of there own and a foreclosure date. I had no choice but to accept the terms of the mortgage company with no assistance from Legal Advocates.

      The Legal Advocate Team promised ******************* would negotiate on final payment on ballon loan , they also took money promisings a ***** from the government would be applied to my mortgage balance. I requested to speak and have a sit down with the attorney ************************************ name who is in my bank statement withdrawals ( I have never seen or talked to) on taking 4000$ no one gets back with me in a timely manner and when I have talked to **************, ***********************, they try to avoid my questions I bring up regarding what have they done on my behalf. This business is a scam using a legal office as a front to praying on people who need help with their mortgages.

      I employed Legal Advocates during the beginning of the pandemic to work with my lender for a loan remodification. Things seemed fine till I started heading toward the end of my modification, then suddenly I was told I had missing payments and owed an enormous balance. All I disputed with proof several times, even providing it to a new software that they introduced for communication but were not utilizing themselves.Now I'm being invoiced for months after, and to come, after terminating their employment. I have retained new counsel since their termination and disputing this balance due. I am an accountant for a law firm so I know all of this is ridiculous.
