  The principles of Funseekers, William Bailey, and his wife, Christy Spensberger, have been the subject of a class action lawsuit, numerous state and government actions, and hundreds of complaints from consumers over the past two decades who alleged fraud and deception in the sale of travel club memberships by the businesses with which they have been associated and for which BBB maintains separate BBB Business Profiles.

• Advertising Review:

  In February 2025, Better BusinessBureau questioned Funseekers Inc.'s website, https://yourtravelservices.org/, which states:

  • "As a member of Travel Services, you'll never have to worry about not getting the absolutely best price on every trip you take. In fact, WE GUARANTEE IT."
    "You have a member's only travel team that guarantees to bring you specially negotiated 'member only' rates; rates that are so good, they cannot be shown to the general public."

   The BBB Codeof Advertising states, “The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertisingrests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate anyobjective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request,they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium orBBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent,falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not beused. An advertisement as a whole may be misleading by implication, althoughevery sentence separately considered may be literally true. Misrepresentationmay result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring amaterial fact. In addition, according to the Missouri state statute 15 CSR60-7.020 (1): “A seller shall not make a representation or statement of fact inan advertisement that is false or has the capacity to mislead prospectivepurchasers.”

• In addition, the BBB Code of Advertising, “When using the term ‘warranty’ or ‘guarantee’ in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser’s location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request.” 
  

BBB requested the businesssubstantiate, modify, or discontinue, the claims made on its website.  The company has not responded to BBB’s requests and nomodifications have been made to the website.
