I filled out the contact us form on 9/25/23 to cancel my monthly membership of $49. I received a response that they were working in terminating my membership agreement *****. I never heard back and am still getting charged for the membership i have not used since 03/2023.Initial Complaint

I signed my daughter up for a gym pass. She is 12 years old and the total for her gym pass per month was to be $30. They put the pass in wrong and charged me $149 per month from September through December. I called to have the membership cancelled which they did and have emailed and spoke to the gym multiple times in the last month requesting the overpayment be paid to me. 8/28/2023 an employee from the UFC Gym in the ***************** harassed my self as well as my mother and forced ** to get of the equipment and double check our membership without any further explanation. I have been a member for half a year and not once hs anyone needed to further look into my account. The staff was unprofessional and had no logical explanation for the employees actions.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a gym membership at ************ in *******, ** on June 13, 2022 and never received the contract detailing my agreement with the gym. After several months of speaking with staff in-person asking for the contract to be sent to me, I still have never received it and decided to quit the gym because their customer service is so badthey never pick up the phones. I submitted a form to cancel my membership on October 23, 2022 and received a confirmation email the same day. I was then charged my monthly membership fee on November 9. I reached out to customer service via email on November 9 asking for a refund and received a response the same day asking which location I had my membership. They have not responded to my several follow up emails since that date. I am extremely frustrated with the gyms lack of response and would like my monthly fee refunded as well as the $238.97 initial fee I was charged, as I do not have the contract detailing these charges.Initial Complaint

On November 9th, 2021, I visited the UFC Gym ******* location for a FREE assessment. I had my assessment and then sat down with one of the employees, ******, to go over the different memberships. He showed me the login screen, the different plans that are available, and a tour of the gym. I let him know I needed to go home and discuss with my boyfriend about the options and see if he wanted to join as well. This is when he took my card information and told me that I needed to pay for an assessment since I did not sign up with the gym during the assessment. The total amount of the assessment was $158.00 which he told me could go towards my first month if I decided to sign up. The next two days, the same employee took my phone number from my account, that I did not give authority to take, and continuously texted me asking if I was going to sign up and if I had talked to my boyfriend if he wanted to sign up as well. I received an email with an agreement that looks to be signed by myself, but it is not my signature. Starting December 9th, 2021, I began getting charged $79, and I continued to get billed for a year. I revered payment on 2 of the charges AND canceled my debit card, but they still were able to bill me. I called numerous times and the phone either does not ring, or no one can help you. There is no corporate customer assistance line that can help, but when you go online there is an email link that you can email from the website. I have sent 3 emails and have never heard a response OR got sent a confirmation that the email was received by anyone. I have downloaded the app to log in and view my 'membership', but it shows I am not a member. I no longer live in the Lombard area, but I went into another UFC Gym site, and they informed me that they could not help either. I have contacted my bank to issue a stop payment on them, but I can't because they run it as a debit transaction. I have put $948 into a gym that I never signed up for. After numerous attempts to cancel my membership, I am continuously getting charged a monthly membership fee of $60 on the 15th of each month and have even gotten charged twice a month, specifically June 29th for $59. I began my attempts to cancel my membership in the beginning of the month of June 2022 and they will not honor these attempts by any means. They first told me that all cancellations are completed in person, so I have made multiple trips to the gym to complete this (even though I have moved more than 30 minutes away). They additionally refuse to answer the phone throughout the week (and even when I called while at the location the phone did not ring) and required me to fill out a physical cancellation form on two separate occasions while never completing the request. Every time that I came in person that told me that the sales manager was not present and that I could not cancel at that moment. I instead had to wait for the form to be accommodated or would have to come back when they were present. I sent an email to corporate and to the *** Lombard location, but have yet to receive any response. It is not possible for me to go to the gym during the hours that the sales manager is apparently there due to my full time job during Monday-Friday, and the sales manager is not present on the weekends. While visiting in person to cancel, I dealt with the same employee working who seems to not value customers or help me cancel my membership. When I signed up I was informed that cancellations could be completed on the computer in person and that the sales manager was not required to be in person, however, when I have gone I have not been given this option and have dealt with unwilling employee service. Overall, this experience has led to a great deal of stress, unfair monetary charges on my account, and horrible business/customer service practices. I would appreciate something being done to resolve this issue.
