On August 30, 2024, I paid $450 to Piano Moving World LLC to transport a ***** ***** G157 5 foot piano from the Chicago neighborhoods of ************* to *********** (about 16 miles). Considering the size and value of the piano, this was supposed to be a 3 person moving job. Piano Moving World only brought 2 movers to try and complete this job - ******* Reximillian (business owner) and a co-mover. To get the piano into my house, there was a 3 step porch, and the movers physically struggled for a while trying to get the piano through the threshold. Instead of calling in another person to help once they realized the piano was too heavy for 2 people, they continued to try different methods, eventually dropping the piano down the ramp they laid over the stairs . It was at this point, once the damage was done, that they finally decided to call in an extra person (who admitted upon his arrival that he offered to come earlier but was told he wasnt needed). Eventually, they got the piano in the home and re-assembled it. The piano sustained physical damage and one of the pedals no longer functions the way it did before they picked it up and took it apart for the moving job. I have contacted the company several times detailing the damage, sending proof of the piano drop and requesting support with repairs. ******* has stopped responding to all texts and has not offered a resolution, despite the fact that the company says they have insurance for all moving jobs.

I contacted a ******* on Facebook maker place to buy a piano from her and had a verbal contract to buy the piano for $500. I called up a piano moving company called Piano Moving World and a ******* Rexmillian ****** answered the phone ************ and signed a contract to pick up the piano from ************************************************************* and bring it to my house at ***************************** *********** ** *****. He was to look over the piano to check if it was in good condition and call me. He instead issues me a refund for my payment which was half upon pick up and half upon drop off. I paid the Zelle amount to the seller and he then proceeded to tell me that he bought the piano and he was no longer going to deliver the piano and that he had issued a refund and owed me nothing. He said that there were too many stairs to deliver it but I had a back entrance with less than 19 stairs to deliver it and he had signed the contract and did not honor it. I still have not received a refund for the payment I made to the sellers I made. The seller also did not honor our verbal contract and I paid her in the hour when the movers were there and called numerous times to talk to her so I could make the payment to her and close the deal but she did not piano up the phone. Instead she sold it to the piano mover. I talked to them both over the phone about the issue and that I had just paid her and still wanted the piano and to please issue the refund to the piano movers because I bought the piano from her and the contract was already signed with the piano movers and they were not honoring it. She didnt know what to do at this point it seemed and said she would issue me a refund because it seemed clear the Milano mover would not honor the deal. Afterwards I called the moving company asking them to please honor our deal and let me pay them the $500 and finish moving the piano but he refused and said he wanted the grand piano and I could have one of his upright pianos instead. I do not know what to do

    Business Response

Company asker seller of Piano did someone by  the piano yet or send money and seller responses by saying she has not received any money for it . An told us it was still available because she had not received any payment in full for it  or at all. An company responded by saying we would purchase it, an we did. Prior to moving anything ,we issued customer a refund in full for ********************************************* services we have not even started yet due to the fact we  were at the pick up . An told her we purchased the piano because the seller allowed us to. An within our paper work states a full refund can be issued which we did before moving anything for our customer which is our procedure.  We bought the piano fair and square an it was the seller permission because it was her piano not the other person who did not own it who was interested in buying it. Was absolutely no paperwork involved regarding sell or buy a piano. - We attached invoice which state at bottom full refund can be issued which we did cause we never picked up or delivered anything for this customer.
