    Initially the turbo cost $2,560.06 after about ***** Rebuild $559.66 ~$130 for shipping I purchased a Dan's Diesel Performance Stage 1 64MM Turbo, and unfortunately, it has been a series of problems from the start. While the customer service was decent, they often didnt have clear answers to my questions.Heres the main issue: after installing the turbo, I could only drive my truck for about ***** miles before the turbo vane position arm got stuck. I sent it back, but they claimed it was due to "abuse," which baffled me since I was driving normallyjust like any other responsible *********** forward to receiving the turbo back. It looked like it had been dropped, but I thought, "No big deal; it still works." I installed it, and for a moment, everything seemed fineuntil I drove just 100 miles, and the same problems returned. They gave me the response that it is not due to their product, and that we would have to go through the same process of sending it back and being responsible for the costs to rebuild. This product came with a warranty and they refuse to take accountability and fix it through the warranty. Now Im stuck without a vehicle a second time due to this company.

    Customer purchased a Stage 1 turbocharger.  Customer sent turbo in for warranty due to "vanes sticking".  Upon disassembly it was discovered that the exhaust turbine wheel and vanes were melted.  This is due to excessive exhaust gas temperatures aka. EGTs.  Customer was advised that EGTs were above 1600 degrees for a period of time and this is what caused the failure.  Our warranty covers the product against defects in parts and workmanship.  Abuse is not covered.  This is outlined in our warranty policy posted on our website and in the packet which is included with the turbo.  Turbo was repaired with a new turbine and good used vane assembly to new specs.  We have not seen the turbo after the second "failure" to determine the cause of failure.  Customer will need to send turbo in for evaluation and repair again.  There are no refunds on installed products.  Customer will need to diagnose and repair the cause for the high EGTs.  Otherwise this type of failure will continue to happen regardless of what brand or model of turbo is installed.  https://dansdieselperformance.com/ft-2433-order-policies-and-faqs.html   https://dansdieselperformance.com/ft-2436-warranty-policy.html
