Since we opened our business, we've almost always used this company. However, every time they came to fix our **, they told us that our unit needed to be replaced because it was too old and leaking Freon. Due to our contract limitations, replacing the entire unit wasn't an option, so each time we had them add Freon and change the filter as a temporary fix. Last year, after their repair, the ** stopped working again after two weeks, and they charged us again for a Freon refill. This year, on March 6th, I called them to check our ** as the weather was warming up. Again, they told us our unit needed to be replaced. After their repair, the weather stayed cold until suddenly heating up in mid-April. When we tried to turn on the **, it didnt work. We called them again, and they sent someone over who was extremely rude. Our staff documented his behavior. He finally told us the entire unit was burned out and needed to be replaced, giving us a quote for $20,500.I then called another company, who found that the issue was just a small part and an exposed wire (materials costing less than $20). Including labor, I paid $380, and now my ** works perfectly.Today, I received a call from Sun Ray Heating saying we owe them over $400. Firstly, after their rude technician's inspection in mid-April, I only received a quote for a new unit, not an invoice for his visit. Secondly, if the first repair didnt fix the problem, shouldnt a follow-up visit be part of their service? Why charge more? Thirdly, I believe they should refund the $735 we paid in March since our ** wasnt fixed. When I told the lady who called that we had fixed the problem with a $50 part, she mocked us, saying the other company was cheap. I don't understand her perspective. The other company wasnt cheap; they were honest and understood that making money isnt easy, unlike Sun Ray Heating, who seems to want to make all their money from one customer
