    ******* contacted me because there was an allocation for a black 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum with a Caramel Glazed interior. This met all of my search criteria's and offered to put a deposit over the phone and I can drive over to them when I get off work. ******* then stated that in order for me to be able to purchase the **** I would be required to pay her Manager's 15% MSRP mark up. Without the up charge, I cannot purchase the vehicle.

    I am rejecting this response because: The statement made by Gerald Toyota is false and inaccurate. This is not an old complaint and is still very much active. The vehicle they had offered was sold to someone else and not to me due to refusing to pay the 15% markup.

    That is correct, the original vehicle was sold to another customer.  ********************* the ** of the store called **************, and we ordered the vehicle for him, which is currently inbound, for MSRP.  As soon as the vehicle gets in, we will reach out to the customer and deliver the vehicle as agreed upon.  My apologies in misunderstanding that the car had been delivered, rather, was ordered.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is temporarily resolved. Whoever is responding to these messages is not the ** and is unaware of the exact details. There is no vehicle inbound (in transit), there is no VIN to said inbound vehicle, and I am unable to provide a down payment for that inbound vehicle. However, the ** did give me his word that he will do everything he can to locate one for me at MSRP. I believe he is sincere and a man of his word so I will accept the response.
