I purchased a water heater tank three years ago and know its leaking. I called this company over one month ago and was told someone from the company or even *** would come to my home to address this problem.. Its been over one month and I called the tanks brand Rheem for assistance. ***** agreed that the tank should be promptly returned by the company who sold it. After informing *** of the matter he was reluctant to assist because he said over $5,000 is owed to him from Rheem and he wanted to ensure he would be paid from Rheenm before service would be rendered. I informed him my basement is wet from the tank and damage is being done to my flooring, and laundry room and basement where the tank is located.

A few weeks back we were able to schedule a time with Mrs. ****** for her water heater.  We apologized for any comments made about Rheem and any past circumstances and have explained the process thoroughly. Even though her tank is under warranty for parts we charged her for the replacement of the water heater drain valve and explained to her keeping her water heater on the maximum setting melted the plastic drain valve and caused the leaking.  We also explained to her that she can submit our receipt to Rheem to get the reimbursement for the part we replaced with a solid brass drain and returned the water heater to the proper heat setting.  When we left ********** was happily satisfied and claimed she would update or remove the complaint.  We apologized for any miscommunication and lack of availability.

We had RC *********************************************** out to give an estimate on a plumbing job at my elderly mothers house. They sent the proposal to our email and requested we reply with a signed copy to begin work. Other details were discussed through several subsequent emails including the permit process and what day they would like to start work. On Nov 8th, the day before work was scheduled to begin; we received an email from the company requesting a 50% deposit via Zelle, Venmo or CashApp to start work. We agreed on Zelle and were sent an email address to use when sending the Zelle payment. They also requested we send a copy or screenshot of the Zelle payment receipt via email for documentation purposes when complete. On Nov 9th, we followed the instructions in the email as requested and sent a $2000 down payment. I was not able to be present on the second day of work; therefore my brother was there to oversee work being done. While my brother was speaking with Mr. ********************* he verbally acknowledged receiving partial payment and roughly confirmed the balance owed. Later that day, Nov 10th, another $2000 payment was made as they were completing the job. I sent an email receipt again as requested. The next morning, Nov 11th, the remaining balance of $150 was sent via Zelle along with the email receipt. Later that afternoon, Mr. ******************** returned to the house to clean up and was asking for payment. My brother and mother told him payment was paid in full via Zelle. He stated he did not receive any payments via Zelle. He confirmed having the entire email conversation but does not know who sent those emails from his account. Mr. ******************** has insisted that he be compensated in full.Despite having proof of on time payments, in full, in accordance to the instructions from Mr. ********************s email account, he is still trying to exhort additional funds from me and my family.

I am rejecting this response because:

Attached is the email chain reflecting emails from November 3, 2023 through November 14, 2023 between RC Szabo company (email address: ************************************* and myself (email address: *****************).

We timely and fully paid for services rendered, in accordance with instructions provided in an ongoing email chain with RC Szabo.  (The email chain was initiated by RC Szabo and used to transmit the proposal as well as to set a date for the work.)  Following each payment (3 total), proof of payment was immediately sent to RC Szabos email address.  RC Szabo is using his email as a legitimate means of conducting business and I had no reason to believe that the ongoing email chain should not be used to confirm receipt of the payments made.  Email is a legal means of communication and a reasonable person, in good faith, should be able to rely on email correspondence from a service provider.

I also note that RC Szabo lamented having a shady nephew who owns a business with a similar name.  It is clear that multiple users have access to RC Szabos email account.  It is his responsibility to limit access and to secure it. RC Szabo confirmed, via email, the receipt of emails from me verifying that payment had been made in accordance with the instructions provided by RC Szabo.  Conveniently, though, he is taking the position that the emails embedded within the email chain relating to payment were neither sent by him personally nor received by him (until a later date when he located the email chain in his spam folder).

    Sincerely,

    *********************************
