    Twice now I ordered books from them through **** and they have been a nightmare to deal with. The first time they sent me badly damaged books, I contacted them and even though they gave me a bunch of BS replies like sometimes things slip through the cracks and this is us, it must have been an accident they did understand I am disabled and would have trouble getting out to return them and refunded no prob, said toss the books. This time the books are in even worse condition but naturally listed as all in very good condition one of the books is chewed, yes chewed by an animal and has fur all over it, others have blood! Mold! And even food and stains on them, they are honestly filthy! **** told me two times they would step up and refund me but now they will not! Also second sale has lied and told **** they sent me a return label but they have not and they are now ignoring. They are complete trash and need to go out of business asap, also shame on **** for allowing this!

    I ordered a book from Second Sale. They sent me the wrong book. When I reached out to them and requested a refund, they asked me to return the book before they would issue a refund. They did not offer a return mailing label. They did offer to let me keep the book and they would issue me a 20% credit. I refused both offers and asked for a return label and full refund or just the full refund without returning the incorrect book. They then stopped communicating with me. No refund, no return label, no communication, nothing. It has now been a week. It was wrong of them and bad customer service to expect me to pay for their mistake.

    I ordered a very large order of books in "very good" condition. Many of the books were damaged with bent covers, stickers covering the titles and art of the cover, etc. I have contact customer service twice with no response and will not be a customer of theirs moving forward. This did not happen with their **** shop, where there is recourse through **** if they send you a product that is damaged or does not match the description. I will only purchase used books from **** from now on.

    A few weeks ago I ordered a book from this site. Mind you, this isn't the first time I've ordered from this company with no issues. However, with this one book, it came in horrible and insufficient packaging and as a result, my book was damaged in transit. I've sent numerous e-mails stating the issue and I have yet to get a response from them. All I want is either: replace the book or refund my money. I wish something could be done about this. This attitude from this business is extremely unprofessional.

    This company repeatedly false advertises and ***** the customer into giving them books on the premise of being paid a quoted amount. They consistently and constantly LIE about the books condition upon arrival so they dont have to pay or they say the books never arrived so they dont have to pay. They are thieves and they have no customer support team or anybody to answer a falsified phone number or to answer emails. This company needs to be audited and shut down!

    I have made several orders with Second Sale with no issue so I never had a reason to contact the company directly. With my last order I received a booked listed as good condition, but it was in poor condition. So, I contacted the company to seek a replacement or refund. The book was not expensive at all - only $4.86 - so this was more a matter of principal -- I should have received a book in good condition, which is what I wanted and expected. I sent numerous emails from their website form and while I DID receive a canned response every time, I could not respond to their response as their server kicked my emails back as spam no matter what tricks I tried to bypass the rejection. So I had to keep sending an email via their website contact form. I asked several time for someone to call me so the issue could be resolved. No one ever called. It is interesting to me that they are willing to lose a customer over $4.86 when I have bought many books from them and still have a 4 yo child with many book buying years ahead of me. I will not purchase from this company again no matter how cheap their books are. I expect better customer service than this.

    I have ordered multiple times from secondsale and while their prices seem good, a majority of my orders have arrived incomplete/incorrect. Most recently they shipped me an entire order that wasnt anything I had ordered. They refunded me, but not the full amount I paid. I had to get upset with them before they would give me the rest of my refund. BUYER BEWARE - if they mess up your order, make sure you check your refund amount closely! Or better yet, just order from somewhere else.

    On their website, they say "BBB Accredited Business" with your official seal/logo. My experience with them has not been good, and I didn't check the reviews before I ordered through their website, because I saw that they were BBB Accredited and trusted this. I placed an order with them on 1/30, and paid for expedited shipping. I received a confirmation of my order, and my credit card charge, on 1/31. There was no indication of when the item would ship, or how to track it. I haven't heard anything more, and it's 2 days later. They have no customer service phone number. I emailed them on 1/31 to ask for an ETA on the order, and they have not replied. Seeing all the 1-star reviews on the rating sites like Yelp causes me some concern about my purchase. I wonder why the BBB hasn't had any reviews posted on this merchant yet. Folks have reported getting the wrong book shipped, missing shipments, etc. I ordered this book for my daughter's college biology course, and she needs it by next week. She may never get the book. I don't know what criteria you use to "accredit" businesses, but I wouldn't expect the BBB to allow merchants who have this much negative online reviews to bear your seal of approval on their website.
