  I own a townhouse in ********** and needed my garage ceiling insulated. The room above (kitchen) floor was very cold in winter. I chose Green Attic Insulation for the job, and they were awesome! They cut into the drywall, blow in cellulose insulation, and then fixed the drywall so well, you can't even tell they were here.*****'s team was really skilled at cutting the drywall to add insulation. They blew in the cellulose insulation, which is great for keeping the garage warm in winter and cool in summer. After they were done, they repaired the drywall. They were professional, tidy, and quick. They were careful with everything and explained what they were doing and why cellulose insulation is a good choice.If you're in ********** and need your garage or any part of your home insulated, I'd definitely recommend Green Attic Insulation. They do a great job, use good materials, and are really nice to work with.

  We had an exceptional experience with Green Attic when they re-did the insulation in our home. From start to finish, their customer service was top-notch. The team was professional, punctual, and attentive to our needs. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations. Were extremely satisfied with the results. Thank you to the entire team (****** and the guys, especially) for making our home cozier and more energy-efficient!

  Had a horrible time dealing with this company once they began work. They were very prompt with the initial quote but when I asked them to come back to answer some questions my husband had, the salesman was unprofessional and started off by saying "how women can't make decisions like this" and also informing my husband about an "upcoming personal surgery". Once the crew began work, there were numerous phone calls with additional quotes added so that it became very confusing. They were unable to get into the attic space without drilling numerous holes in the ceiling which I approved but then they came back with extra money needed to properly fill in and patch the holes to ensure insulation didn't fall out. When I paid the invoice minus the money they tried to double bill us for the patchwork they continued to harass us for that payment. They also scheduled a "blow test" which they never mentioned was needed and then never called or showed up for the appointment. I called them and stated that once they complete this Nicor test, they are to lose all our contact information.

  Green Attic is a great company, I can't say enough about their workers who did an excellent job of eliminating mold and restoring our attic to a pristine condition. I was extremely impressed with their attention to detail, their cleanliness, professionalism, expert workmanship, friendly and courteous manner.I am giving this review five stars, because I want to give the company the recommendation it deserves and I realize in hindsight that it is my own fault for not demanding, in writing, what I rightly or wrongly understood would be done. I have one tip for anyone hiring Green Attic, however.The access to our attic is through a hall ceiling on the second floor. In order to access the attic, it is necessary to use a ladder. Since I am 83 years old and have high blood pressure, diabetes and am a cancer patient, I was concerned about having to place a ladder to access the attic whenever I wanted to check the status of the Solar Attic Fan. The salesman told me that there was an app available to accomplish this, with the disclaimer that it wasn't always reliable and that some people had problems with it. I only learned after the work was completed that an app was not available for the fan and that the only way, I could check the attic fan was to access through the ceiling with a ladder. Also, the ceilings in the second-floor rooms all had to be reinforced with drywall screws because when our home was built in the 70's, they used to nail, not secure the ceiling drywall with screws. The Green Attic Crew did a great job of reinforcement, but I thought they would patch the screwheads. Again, I only learned after all the work was completed that this was not included. The workers did patch the last room. When I mentioned this to the salesperson later, he told me they would be docked for this, because they were not supposed to do that. I felt very bad about that, because I did not even ask them to do it and as I stated previously, they did such wonderful work.

  Outstanding service! the crew that showed up was professional, personable, considerate, and knowledgeable. The crew leader, ******, explained in detail everything that they were going to do before they started the work and kept me well informed of what was happening throughout the project (where they were going to make adjustments for machinery, what the function of the machinery is, how it affects the air flow and temperature, etc). Highly recommend, and I would definitely use them again.

  Stay away at all costs. We hired Eco Build to do some work to address some water damage after a heavy rainstorm. Things got off to a bad start when a work crew showed up the first day and asked us what they were supposed to do. Shouldn't the company have communicated that to them? We provided them with our work order with details of the scope of work. The crew then went ahead and did a much different scope (patching some issues in a ceiling rather than a replacement as we were expecting). I then repeatedly tried to reach out to the company for more information and had awful communication about next steps. I finally got in touch with *****, the individual who initially visited our work to assess the damage. He said they would take care of it and told me to reach out to him about any future problems. Well, there were future problems with the work crew not showing up when expected. However, he repeatedly would not respond to phone calls. The communication is a joke. During another stage of work the work crew left and I had to reach out to management telling them that the work crew didn't finish the job. They came back later that day saying they didn't think they needed to do those additional steps (replacing some drywall). They clearly need to work on informing their crews on work they need to do.The work finally competed and despite assurances that our house would be clean, the workers left it an absolute mess that took away hours of my weekend to clean up.They also told us in no uncertain terms that although their costs were higher that what our insurance would cover, that they would work things out with insurance so we would not have to pay any additional costs out of pocket. However, that did not work out that way and we had to pay additional costs to them than initially expected. Not cool at all. Very misleading.
