This hotel operates unethically! (And worse, their corporate offices know it.)The manager of this hotel (I'll be kind and leave her name out of this) recently canceled a reservation that I had made for the upcoming April eclipse which will be 'in total' as it goes over Mt. Vernon. Why did she cancel? Because she realized (three months AFTER I made my reservation) that she could be / should be charging 3-4 times for a hotel room that night. Worse, she had one of her staff lie to me as to why the room needed to be canceled, falsely stating that *all* the family suite rooms were 'currently' under renovations (ehem, 'currently' under renovation and unavailable for the next 9 months??! Totally a lie.). Now, I am OUT of the room I had reserved 90+ days ago - AND - there are no hotel rooms left anywhere nearby!I reached out to ************* Corporate, and after hearing my story and doing their own investigation, they too know that the manager did not act in an honorable way; however, due to the franchise agreement, they cannot force her to give me my reservation back. As such, they made it right in other ways, with their repeated apologies for how I have been treated.

They scam people out of money. They required me to pay a $250 deposit on a room with broken beds. Their bedskirts cover the bottom of the beds so can not physically see the beds are already broke (missing a board) . They did not do a walk through before renting the room to ensure everything was enact before renting the room . When I checked out I was never informed of an inspection in order to get my deposit back . I have tried to reach their manager for several days about complaints with our stay. The manager had never got back with me. Instead the front desk informed me that they were keeping my deposit due to 2 beds being broke. They sent me a picture of 2 beds being broke , not indication of which room the broken beds were in or anything . Since making my co.plainta public I have been approached by several employees that this is a common thing they do to keep guest deposit .
