    On September 6, 2023 I hired Dream House Builders to take down the deck off the back of my house and replace it with a concrete patio at ground level and he would pull the permits needed. **** said he requires half down and I gave him $2400.00 cash and he signed a receipt for that down payment. Their crew of 2 men came on 9-8-23 and took apart my deck. They left all the decking on my grass and left for the day. On 9-9-23 another crew of guys came and formed out the ******** high. I called **** to let him know that we didnt want it that high and told him the old decking is still on my property. He came back to tell me that we did not need a permit. He also told me that code for ********* was that the patio has to be 7 inches high next to our sidewalk. I called ***************** and they said that we need a permit because of the patio is being attached to the house and we can have the patio flush with our sidewalk. I tried contacting **** several times about permits and codes. He said he would come over and discuss it and never did. On **** He was told to stop the project. On 9-14-2023 I emailed a letter to Dream House Builders stating that I am canceling my project with them and I would like my deposit of $2400.00 refunded. I kept texting **** about getting the decking off my property and he would reply by saying he wants to come over and make things right with the project. Every time he says he is coming over he has some kind of excuse why he didnt come. On Saturday 9-23-23 I had the decking removed from my property at my cost of $100.00 plus my lawn is all damaged from the wood sitting there for 16 days. On Tuesday 9-26-23 **** text me saying he will be here in town on Thursday 9-28-23.. I text **** at 9:20am asking if he was still planning on coming over. Its now 5:30pm, he did not show, call or text. Because I am not getting any response or my money back, we are filing this complaint.
