    Our experience was problematic from the start. We received a high quote of approximately $2800 for two gates and 24 feet of fencing, which they attributed to material costs. Despite informing them about our lack of outdoor electricity and requesting advance notice, the post installers arrived unannounced. When we contacted ****, she claimed they couldn't provide arrival times and that electricity availability was in our contract. We discovered crooked posts, a removed paver slab, and a narrower gate opening than specified in our contract. Our after-hours communication with the sales *** was initially met with excuses until we provided photographic evidence. This led to a site visit from ****, who suggested relocating the gate. She revealed that the sales *** was a retiree doing this as a hobby, lacking proper customer guidance skills. **** assured us they would use a generator for the remaining work, eliminating the need for electricity.However, on installation day, the workers arrived without power or a generator, necessitating my return home to address the situation. Post-installation, we found metal debris scattered across the lawn, subpar panel craftsmanship, and an unfilled concrete slab area.Our email to **** detailing these issues was met with defensiveness and attempts to guilt us about pulling workers from other jobs. The company prematurely charged our card for final payment without sending an invoice or using our preferred payment method. A persistently crooked post remained an unresolved issue. ****** responses continued to be defensive, citing warranty limitations and budget constraints. She suggested we would need to pay for further corrections. When we insisted on proper installation, she attributed the problem to potential ground settling. After saying they would come back out, they have not & it's not fixed. The long & short, if you pay for a fence the posts should be straight, and if not, it should be fixed per there commitment to quality.

    Action Fence communicates from the day of lead phone call to the end of Install, and in rare cases, after install is complete if there are any items that are of concern to the customer. There was constant communication with the above complainant. I have documentation of all correspondence. I went above and beyond with this job of 30' of 4'H chain link fence. In order to keep the costs down for our repair and small job customers, we cannot schedule in advance. The sub contractors that complete these small projects do complete them by area. We try to give some notice but that is not always possible. If we were to schedule any job under 50', we would have to charge our minimum labor charge which is quite high. This was all explained to the customer. As far as having electric on site- we do ask that it is available, we did not know it was not available at this site until the tech arrived to set posts for the gate. We do apologize for the tech being a bit frustrated that there was no power for his tools needed to work. I also advised the next crew to please bring a generator, they did not. I apologize for that as well, we do not want any customer to have to leave work so we can do our job, again the crew should not have called the customer directly. Both crews have been reminded of that since the customer had an issue with that. Chain link materials, as they are the most cost effective is still high in price and is a commercial material. It will not always pleasing in residential yards. The warranty is applied to material( if the mesh or posts rust within the first year or Install, meaning if the fence falls down, it does not include slightly off post setting or the condition of the ground. The location where the customer choose to place the gate was very tight. I agreed to move it to a better location with no charge except for the extra labor time in shop to fabricate a new gate. We do apologize that our crews were not as accommodating as the customer would have liked, they are laborers and can be a bit rough around the edges, other than that, this review is pretty harsh with name dropping and also batting coworkers against each other is not necessary. We strive on trying to help out our customers with any thing they may need. We did try to do that here, it is unfortunate that all our efforts were not only unrecognized but bashed. Please let me know if we need to send our contract, processing email, and emails between the customer and our office. We will gladly do so. Per contract, the customer agrees by signing that the card on file will be charged upon completion. This job was completed on 09/30/2024.
