    On May 2, 2024, I dropped off an antique accent chair for reupholstery. The owner (*********************** ) and I agreed on a price and a delivery date of mid June 2024. I put down a deposit of $300. On Friday June 14th I called the shop to see what the status was of my chair and the owner (*******************, the same person who wrote up the order with me) answered the phone and told me the chair was being worked on by a worker at "their other shop" and she would have to call him and see what the status was. She later called me back and said he was going to call me back. On Wednesday, June 19th a fellow called me back and told me the chair was finished and that I could pick it up on the next day Thursday June 20th at 11 am. On Thursday June 20th I drove to the shop in ********* and was told by ******************* that the fellow had my chair but was out of the shop on a job. She promised me that it would be delivered to me and that he would call me. The same fellow did call me on Friday June 21st and said he was in ********, IL on a job but would deliver my chair. As of today Tuesday June 25, 2024 I still have not received my chair . I have called several times and get no answer, only their answering machine. (As if they are avoiding my calls.) At this point I want my chair returned or I will file a claim of theft with the ****************************

    On August 1, I wrote a check for $1,500 deposit for 3 items to be reupholstered and a cushion for a couch to be made. The total for the work to be done was $2,995. On August 1, they picked up 2 ***** ****** chairs and a ***** ****** ottoman and they measured my couch for the cushion to be made. I started calling more frequently in the beginning of November because I was surprised my items were still not ready. Every time I called, ************************* had an excuse, like her sister was in a car crash and she had to leave town or they needed just a little more time. ******* would never give me a delivery date. Finally she said they would deliver all 4 items last night (December 17) around 7:30 pm but they never showed up. I have emailed and called her so many times over the last 4 1/2 months and I can't seem to get my furniture. I hope you can help me! I just noticed that the next question is that I need to upload my documents. I am so bad with technology. Is it possible for me to take a picture of the documents with my phone and send everything to an email address???

    I am rejecting this response because:  I just want my chair.  It was supposed to be delivered this week and ******* did not respond to my email a few days ago trying to get her to deliver it.  She did finally deliver 3 items after I contacted the Better Business Bureau and she promised that she would deliver the last item.  She has told me (and emailed me) countless times telling me that she is going to deliver my furniture later in the week and then she never follows through.  I did not realize that her husband did actually fall before I wrote the previous complaint and I am sure that was traumatic for them but it has been one excuse after another and she has been "working" on the chair for 6 months.  They both seem like nice, hardworking people but I do not know why they will not deliver my last piece of furniture.  Please help!
