    Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been very disappointing. I have spent over $20,000 with new product installation and service calls at my residence over the past three years with this company. Two of the premium products (original Cost over $2,000) that this company installed have failed to deliver desired results as advertised. I asked them to step up and they decided to step down and deflect. Buyer beware.

    The products you are referring to have been great for us and our customers. You told us you were going to replace the cells but instead of using the ones we sell by the manufacturer you bought replacement items online. We warned that would void your warranty as they are not approved by the manufacturer for their unit. The replacement parts caused your unit to fail as we had forewarned. We cannot get a free replacement when wrong parts are installed in the units causing the failure. We reached out to the manufacturer and they confirmed the warranty is void when using non-oem parts which is what you purchased.

    This customer bought an Air Scrubber. The cells were due to be replaced after 2 years and we quoted him the price. He said he would find cheaper parts online. We told him buying non original equipment manufactured parts online would void the warranty of the Ballast as they are not authorized by the manufacturer. He bought them anyway and installed them himself. This caused the ballast to fail as we predicted. He then asked us to come out and verify the ballast was bad. We pre-quoted the service price and confirmed he caused the failure. He asked us to lie to the manufacturer and cover it under warranty anyway. We refused to lie but we did ask the manufacturer if they had anything to offer. They said no. He was told he would damage the unit by using the wrong parts and he did it anyway. Now he is giving us one star reviews because we would not try and lie for him.

    BAIT AND SWITCH?On 6/14/23 I received two proposals for air conditioners from ********************* of Dutchman Heating and Cooling. After reviewing the proposal I chose one which suited my needs. The installation price was presented as $ ****. I called Dutchman on 6/22/23 to arrange for the purchase and make the required down payment. When I asked the woman who answered the phone what I needed to do, she said she had to check to see if the price is still the same. A curious comment. After being on hold for a while ********************* answered and told me he had quoted me the price for a 3 ton unit instead of the 3.5 ton unit listed in his proposal and that the price was $5688, a $473 increase. When I asked if he expected me to pay for his error he ******* said the price is $5688. When i said it looks like a bait and switch he again said the price is $5688. Our conversation ended there. At first it seemed like a good company, now, not so much. Buyer beware.

    I tried to call to discuss with homeowner. We did not advertise a low price and try and change it. Our comfort consultant went out and discussed options. He sent one email with 2 different options. Unfortunately, he mistakenly quoted a 3 ton system and a 3.5 ton system, which was in error. When the homeowner called our office, the staff went to make sure the unit pricing was correct since we have had several pricing increases from the manufacturers in the last month as well as equipment options were changed from the suppliers. When **** revisited the proposals, he realized his mistake in quoting the wrong price for the 3.5 ton system (note the 3 ton system was much higher than the 3.5 ton system) and talked to the homeowner explaining his error. This was caught before scheduling an installation or receiving a signed proposal or ordering equipment. We did not try to change the unit but rather we informed the homeowner he had made the mistake and that the price was not correct in the proposal. He explained his error and apologized. We were not trying to bait and switch anything, but correct the error made.

    This review should be removed. We never did work or had a work order, proposal or invoice signed by this person. We caught a pricing mistake and let him know before proceeding to any agreement. This was not an advertised price which is what would be required for this to be a bait and switch. We simply caught a pricing error before anything was agreed to.

    I have used several heating companies over the past many years. Dutchman is a company you can trust. I renewed my two year service agreement with them because of the professional way they treat their customers. Their servicemen are very thorough and honest. It is a pleasure to do business with the well managed company.
