I hired this company to do a tear off for my roof. I have all text messages from the first day we spoke. I meet **** ** is who came out to do the roof. I was a little concerned that he didnt allow me to go on the roof to see thew work. O paid ********. But he claimed I had a warranty and everything would be okay. The job was completed in 1 day. Maybe 2 months after it was completed, I noticed shingles in the front of the building pulling up. When I asked him to come back to look at it, he said it had rained, and he wasnt responsible. This started the debate. I notice he doesnt work with a lot of African American people per his reviews. I blogged my experience this is when I met his wife by phone. Rude disrespectful and said it was her company. The first time I heard that. 1 year later my roof is peeling. I called 6.9 @ 10am **** told my husband he will not come to fix the roof although I have a warranty. **** is mad at the review and for that he will not honor the warrantyBusiness Response

To whom it may concern,
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to Ms. ******* complaint.
O&M Construction **** completed a full tear-off and flat roof installation for Ms. ****** in accordance with our contract and industry best practices. Due to safety regulations and insurance requirements, we do not permit customers on the roof during installation. However, to ensure transparency, we provided both photos and live video updates during the process.
During installation, we discovered that the decking under the existing roof was in extremely poor condition and required replacement. As is standard, we informed Ms. ****** and provided a change order detailing the additional cost. Understanding her financial constraints, we extended an offer to finance the added work at no interest, allowing her to pay whatever she could afford each month. She agreed to this arrangement and signed a contract. Unfortunately, payments stopped in November 2024, and her account still carries an outstanding balance of over $1,800.
Approximately two weeks after the project was completed, Ms. ****** reached out to report an issue, stating that shingles were lifting. It is important to note that her roof is a flat membrane system not a shingled roof but we were still willing to inspect the issue. Around this same time, a tornado had touched down just blocks from her location, a weather event confirmed by ****. We advised her that any damage from such an event would more appropriately fall under her homeowner's insurance coverage, not the workmanship warranty.
Despite our efforts to work with her, Ms. ****** responded by posting multiple one-star reviews and making inappropriate and racially charged comments about me and my company. As a result, we retained legal counsel, issued a cease-and-desist notice, and are currently involved in legal proceedings regarding her defamatory statements.
We remain committed to standing by our work and honoring our warranties in full provided that the terms of the agreement are met. At this time, Ms. ****** has not completed her financial obligation under our signed contract. Nonetheless, should she resume payments and allow for a cooperative, respectful dialogue, we are open to reviewing any legitimate issues that fall within the scope of our warranty.

I am rejecting this response because:
There were no live videos presented to me. He showed me the photos on his phone. Why not text them to me. I didnt consider that then but now I have complaint the 2nd one I SHOULD HAVE.
As I mentioned in my complaint, **** *** called me in March and indicated I could stop payment if I could locate the review on FB and delete it. I did. However, I keep good records I have emailed that shows I was making payment until he called me. This much like my first experience seems like someone else is talking when my communication was Soley with ****. I can call my phone company for my phone records. Why did he call me when I am blocked from his phone ?? **** has again lied. He said I didnt have to continue the payment. However, this was a verbal agreement. This has nothing to do with the actual contract.
Please provide the document signed for the balance to be paid I was paying in good faith until he called. ( I will contact my phone carrier)
I have a picture in phone where I text him what it looked like needed his attention as far as the roof. **** told me by text I have it .. he was telling me we had storms he would not do the work. I can provide the text. It is misleading to assume I called it the correct name,but I had a picture. Again, and I have ALL text messages. There was no storm with hail damage this was another lie.
I was asked ( I have the text ) to post a review. However, since the review wasnt in his favor he has the right to neglect the contract warranty. That is my constitutional right. I have the right to express my opinion. I dont see other reviews from customers in the city like me. He made a personal decision to assume it was a racial call.because it was a 1-star review on his company-people should be aware . He is from the suburbs,and he did my work in the city with no care- poor job !
**** is misleading Please provide the documentation you have regarding this balance.The contract indicates it was paid out. Again, it was verbal and in good faith.**** asked me to stop payment due to the reviews hurting his business. I was making ***** payments I have pictures of money orders
Please honor your contract and do the warranty work this is again what I am seeking

We are responding to this 'complaint' you have made to the BBB - in addition to all the numerous other defamatory reviews you have left for us- in hopes of resolving this issue on both ends. As we always have been, we are very easy to work with. We have attached supporting documents showing the weather reports from the **** showing the storms that hit the address being referenced. There were reports of thunderstorms and 60+ MPH winds that occurred that would cause storm damage. That is NOT something that would be covered by a Craftsmanship/Labor Warranty. Nor would a material Manufacturer' Warranty cover acts of mother nature. That is something that would be covered by your ********************* We are willing to work with you to get this resolved- However: (O&M Construction *** honored in-house financing to you because of your financial situation and WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID IN FULL.) We were EXTREMELY EASY TO WORK WITH. We let you choose what you could afford to pay us each month, and NEVER charged you any financing charges, LATE FEES, Interest, or ANY FEES WHATSOEVER; just the BALACE OWED ON THE *** that was COMPLETED ON: JUNE 20th, 2023. We would need the BALANCE OWED OF $1,850.33 PAID IN FULL IMMEDIATELY. We are willing to help with the process if you need assistance in filing a claim with your insurance- but to make multiple defamatory negative reviews from multiple accounts is just unacceptable. Again, the storm damage to your home has nothing to do with O&M Construction ***. Lets figure out a solution this fits us both!Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I noticed you provided a docu sign document. This might be a bigger issue. I never signed that and if you are saying I did, why didnt I receive a copy? I have a docu sign account. Can you provide a copy to me? If in fact I signed it it should be in my docu sign account, or I should automatically have a copy. I have the contract. You also indicated the weather provide that please? There was no hailstorm in my area in the city of *******.
Your response indicates that I have no money, and the company did me a favor. I also have a text where I explain to his wife, and I will now explain to you I had more than enough I can also provide a documentation for that. I was researching companies, and he wanted my business. After asking me what everyone else was charging, he beat the price.
No matter what he is implying the fact is he got paid for a job he half did. I have also noticed other issues after an inspector inspected the roof. I asked him why my roof look different than the other roofs when he first did it the pillars (or something) were cover everyone elses are not.
You keep replying but do you see the text please look at the pictures. I cannot believe this, even if he received ******- but he received much more - why did he put the roof together like that? This is ************ keep addressing the reviews Is it because of the undenied proof? He keeps asking for ******* you are willing to help Look at my roof. Help me. I will need another roof in less than 10years. It is coming apart

I paid for my roof last year to be done. The people that **** had hired to do the roof forgot to do my dormers and he told me on the phone that he would get them done and that I was on the schedule for the following week. No, I have heard nothing from him for a month. I've left messages on both of his numbers. I've left reviews on ****** as well as ********* I've had other people even try to reach out to him with nothing.
