    The number 2 cylinder went out on a vehicle I bought from them.  I paid 500 dollars down and had a trade in of a 2009 Chevy Cobalt.  I would like at least my 500 dollars back. I do not have the money to fix the cylinder and to pay for another engine
    They fired the guy that sold me the truck.  The truck only lasted
    June 6 and it went out in September. My fiance Sarah and I have had to walk everywhere which is extremely hard. We are both senior citizens and on a fixed income.  We are just trying to make it the best we can. We do not have the funds to pay for this vehicle that broke down within a few months.  They took advantage of us. We cant just go out and purchase a new vehicle.

    Mr. ******* purchased a 2011 Ram 1500 from Pennington Chevrolet on 6/13/23. Attached are two documents to respond with *******'s complaint. The $500.00 cash down he claims to have put down was in the form of his trade in which is a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt as shown in the attached document. The other document sent is *******'s Voluntary Repossession letter from the lending institution in which Pennington Chevrolet signed a recourse agreement with lender in order for ******* to obtain the loan to purchase the truck. In no way do we feel that ******* is due any refunds directly from Pennington Chevrolet or any of its affiliates.

    They put in a extended warranty on a new truck. I told them that I did not want it. I did not realize that they snuck that in on it. I went back up there and paid $50.00 to cancel the extended warranty. I was told that it would take up to 6mths to a year to receive the refund and that the refund would be credited to the finance company in the amount of $2000.00. I have not received the money nor has the finance company received the money. I have called and they were suppose to get in touch with me and I have not received a return call, also when I do speak to someone that inform me that the extended warranty has been cancelled. I contacted the extended warranty company and they informed me that they have no record of the extended warranty has been canceled and that it is still active, and if the dealership would back date the cancellation then they would refund the money. I want my $2000.00 back.

    We bought a 2012 Acadia on Monday Oct 17th 2022. We test drove this vehicle and told ** the issues we had with it . Oil change should have been changed it was due for it and told him about it needed an alignment, cleaning the vehicle And passenger mirror needed fixed we got told “ we didn’t have time to do the services and I’m not going to spend the money or labor on a $5,000 vehicle. It is what it is” . We said you could have least service the vehicle and cleaned it , but didn’t get anywhere. We are finally getting the vehicle serviced and detailed on them thanks to ***** . There Has been neglect on servicing it we have already had to put $60 spark plugs and now a water pump that we have to pick up on Monday also an alignment Bc the steering wheel is completely crooked and he said “ it drives straight”. I told him, 2 ppl in the centralia Il office excuse after excuse. Finally told the manager in Salem office and he listened . Very unprofessional on their part , I shouldn’t have to service my own vehicle Bc “ they didn’t and don’t have time” or “ they aren’t spending $ on a $5000 vehicle” . Regardless of the price all cars should be treated the same our $ is valuable. The oil was completely dried nothing on dip stick and had to put 3 qts of oil in it . I think we should get our money back for the spark plugs and water pump that we have to fix including 3 qts of oil that should have been fixed b4 it even drove off the lot. We know it’s used , but it should have been checked instead of worrying about making money .

    Good morning,

     On 10/17/2022 ***** ***** purchased a 2012 Gmc Acadia from Pennington Ford in Newton IL with 180,416 miles on it for $5253.  I have on file all  AS IS documents that *****  and her Husband ****** signed. After the ***** purchase of the GMC Acadia Pennington Ford went  above and beyond for her As Is purchase. We picked the vehicle up at her work, serviced it " oil change and topped off all fluids", detailed it, and delivered back to her work at no expense to the customer.

    I also stated this in the complaint . Before we even bought the vehicle we told ** that there was a few issues with the vehicle and he said it’s only a $5000 car and I’m not putting time or money into it . We have already had to replace the fuel pump , spark plugs and water pump . We even told you guys that the alignment was off my tires doesn’t even have weights on it and Again you guys said it’s only a 5000$ vehicle and your not putting anytime or money into it . Y’all would think that you would service the vehicle since you had it on the lot for 2 wks . Is this really how you do business? 

    You say you don’t have time to service the vehicle, that’s  is very unprofessional. I’m not asking for all my money back , but guess what when we got home think god my husband check the oil Bc it was bone dry !!! Ridiculous! I do think y’all should give me my money back for items that I listed before . And the AS IS wasnt til after I told you guys that there was issues . I told 3 different managers and only 1 listens out of the Salem office ! Very very poor service with your company and disappointing on how y’all treat your customers my money is just as valuable as a person that spends $50,000. If I would have known this I wouldn’t have even bought the vehicle off y’all
