In September of 2021 I enlisted the help of ******************************* ,CPA to assist with the preparation and filing of my taxes. According to our contract, I would pay a retainer deposit to begin working which would be kept in an escrow account. On Sep 2, 2021 my retainer of $2,955.00 was paid. By Dec 2021 the second retainer fee ($2,955.00) was deducted from my account without ANY SERVICES rendered. Up until this point, I had only spoken to ***** 4 times on short zoom calls to ask questions and share my concerns about her lack of responsiveness. In February 2021, I shared with her (*****) that I wished to Terminate our agreement. We agreed that she could keep ($1000.00) for her time spent , and the remainder $5,000 would be refunded; (conversation was recorded). Days later ***** emails me and tells me that I would receive my refund in 4 monthly payments. I questioned why I couldn't get a full refund if my money was being held in escrow; ***** failed to respond in a timely manner. I then filed a dispute with my bank who refunded ONE of the payments. During that time, ***** mailed me a refund check for $1500. After learning of my dispute she quickly had the check canceled and proceeded to email me refusing further refund, claimimg that she only owed $730. She created a FRAUDULENT itemized list of false charges and services rendered (she told me prior on the recording that she doesn't itemize charges). Why would she voluntarily send a check for $1,500 if she determined my refund to be only $730? Due to the lack professionalism my taxes were not filed on time and I became responsible for the fees. I am requesting help to recover my full deposit of $2955.00.* I have audio recording of refund agreement but this format doesn't accept MP4; please advise if this evidence is needed.

    Dear BBB,

The Client only had $2,955 retainer with Elite consulting, since she did a chargeback on the first paymnet and received her deposit back from the credit card copmay.
After my convesation with her, she wanted us to refund her the remainding $2,955.00 after the fees already incurred. On the phone my estimate was that it would total up to around ******** but I informed her that I would run the report from our CRM and get her exactly what the team had worked on and send her the refund. After we ran the report, the list of work done and time spent with her was listed on the attached report and sent to her. All these activities are recorded via an atomatic system and are accurate and not fradulent. Please see the list of activities that my team has had with her during her engagement( Please see  attachment) , and the total came to be $2,219.74 ( not $1,000 as originaly thought)

    $2,955.00-2,219.74=$735.26

$735.26 was sent to her on April 27, 2022 ( Please see attached #2)

Please let me  know if you have any questions.
We apprecaite your help with this regard.

    Best,
    Elite Consulting, LLC
