      I am writing to file a formal complaint against Accounteque Services, Inc., and its ********** **************************** My experience with this firm has been extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory, leading to unresolved tax issues and unnecessary financial burdens.In 2023, I approached **************** to handle my 2022 taxes. He requested my 2021 tax filings, which had been completed by another accountant. Upon review, **************** claimed that the previous accountant had not filed my taxes properly. He then offered to amend the 2021 returns and placed me on a monthly payment plan of $275 for this service.Since then, I have been charged monthly, but there has been little to no progress on amending my taxes. The firm initially used a simple platform for document sharing, but they have since switched to a new system that is confusing for both clients and their staff. This has resulted in misplaced documents and difficulty in communication.Furthermore, despite my repeated inquiries about the child tax credit, **************** has consistently ignored these concerns. As of today, August 2024, my 2021 and 2022 tax returns remain unresolved. The lack of responsiveness and inefficiency has been unacceptable, especially considering the financial implications.I believe Accounteque Services, Inc. has not acted in good faith and has caused undue stress and financial strain. In an era where most individuals with annual incomes under $400,000 are heavily burdened by expenses, this firm's actions have made me owe thousands of dollars unnecessarily.I request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter and hold Accounteque Services, Inc. accountable for their unprofessional conduct. I also seek a resolution to my tax issues without further delay.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Lets set the record straight. Your accusations are baseless and an attempt to deflect from the reality of the situation. First and foremost, any lack of progress or delays are not due to my lack of cooperation or experience. Its clear you are more interested in finding someone to blame rather than addressing the actual issues at hand.
      You claim that obtaining the *** PIN was my responsibility. However, as a licensed accountant with decades of experience, you should be fully capable of handling such a simple task yourself, just as you did for my father. Your refusal to do so and the subsequent lies about calling the *** are unprofessional and unacceptable.
      Regarding the fees, you charged $275 per month plus additional fees for amendments. Yet, despite these charges, the progress on my tax returns has been minimal, leading to significant frustration and financial strain.
      You labeled me as a "hostile client" simply because I demanded accountability and transparency regarding the status of my tax returns. Your habit of cutting me off during calls and providing evasive answers is the reason for my persistence, not hostility. I was never hostile; I was assertive in seeking the service I paid for.
      Your statement that I claimed to have lost my password is another outright lie. I never made such a claim. This is just another example of your dishonesty, further proving that your memory is failing you.
      As for your so-called client portal, its ineffective and inconvenient. Clients should not be forced to store their sensitive documents on a platform they do not trust or understand.
      Regarding the insurance documents, I sent you what I was told were the correct files. I double-checked with you, and you confirmed. Your attempts to shift the blame onto me for any discrepancies are yet another example of your unwillingness to take responsibility.
      Furthermore, your refusal to meet in person to resolve these issues speaks volumes about your commitment to your clients. An accountant worth their salt would meet with their client to resolve significant issues, but you have consistently avoided this.
      Lastly, your attempt to undermine my capability to run my business is not only irrelevant but also insulting. I have successfully managed my business for years and will not tolerate such disrespectful and unfounded remarks from someone who fails to meet the basic expectations of their profession.
      Your consistent interruptions and dismissive attitude forced me to raise my voice to be heard, which you misinterpreted as yelling. This is not a hearing issue on my part but a failure on yours to listen and respond appropriately.
      I am moving forward with my formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and expect them to hold Accounteque Services, Inc., and you personally, accountable for your unprofessional conduct and failure to provide the services promised. I will not apologize for demanding the service I paid for, nor will I be silenced by your attempts to belittle me.
      I expect a prompt resolution to my tax issues without further delay. Any further communication will be through my legal representative.

      I have provided all of the related services that **************** is referring to per our engagement agreement.

      As of today, he failed to review his DRAFT 2022 personal tax return, and provide any documents to update his tax return, as he said has so many tax related document and information.

      As of today, he failed to review his parents' 2022 personal tax return, per his verbal POA that his dad gave him.

      I find your response to my issues not only insufficient but also dismissive of the serious concerns I have raised. It is disheartening to see that instead of addressing these concerns with the urgency they require, you choose to focus on trivial matters and provide excuses rather than solutions.
      Your claim that you have marked my questions and provided all related services per our engagement is contrary to the reality of our interactions. Just yesterday, I attempted to contact you to discuss these very issues. Instead of responding, you rejected my call and texted me that you were too busy, yet you found ample time to engage in texts that were unproductive and irrelevant to the resolution of my complaints.
      Your assertion that I have failed to review and provide documents is another deflection of responsibility. As you well know, I have repeatedly attempted to engage with you and your team to resolve these matters, only to be met with delays and obfuscation.
      Let me be clear: I will not accept this pattern of neglect and evasion. I expect a comprehensive resolution to all the issues listed, not a checklist of unfounded accusations against me. Your approach to this matter reflects poorly on your professionalism and the trust I placed in your services.
      If we cannot resolve these issues promptly and transparently, I will be forced to take further action, which may include legal proceedings and formal complaints to regulatory bodies.
