A representative from the company of United Energy Services came in to my business on November 20th of 2023. He took a look at my energy and gas bills and went to sign me up for gas and electric through companies he represents. I signed the paperwork but called him within an hour after he left to tell him to cancel the applications and that I do not give him permission to move forward with the process. He came back in to my business to discuss. After he left he confirmed with me the same day that his boss cancelled the application via text. I reached out 2 days later after receiving an email saying my application went through with one of the companies (constellation energy). He confirmed via his boss again that it was an automated email and the application never went through. I reached out a 3rd time on December 21st with another confirmation about the changes to my providers going through. Yet again they confirmed the application was indeed cancelled. I reached out on February 20th after receiving the gas bill for my business. The change of providers did go through, after they told me multiple times it did not, and the cost of my bill went up significantly, even though my usage went down. They told me to call the company (constellation energy) who will process the cancellation for me. Even though this application was never supposed to have gone through and has now cost my business money.

I am rejecting this response because: I am looking for a reason on why this even went through in the first place after being told on multiple occasions that it did not go through. This is something your business needs to identify so that it does not end up happening again and causing another small business money they cannot afford to spend. I know the women I spoke with said they were looking into this, but I would like to hear what happened.

    Sincerely,

Our Retention Specialist states she spoke with *********************** once she heard back from both suppliers. Both contracts were cancelled, and ETFs were waived for her. She stated ****** wasn't very pleased with ******* not cancelling her contracts when he said they would be.

We took steps to address the issue, the contracts were canceled, and we have addressed the issue with the representative that visited her place of business.
