Bought a ************************************************************ about the condition of jeep the tires all very bad condition. Got delivered with 2 pretty much flat tires no paper work about the sale they asked me to lie ti the lending company ***. Didnt get me a 90 day permit upon deliver instead it came after complaining. The vehicle check engine light came on day two has approx 19 codes at the time from the brakes to the thermostat. The soft top wasnt on right and water was sitting in the back of vehicle the soft top was also damaged oil not changed nor maintenance done to vehicle I asked pointed ? Is the vehicle serviced, does it have A/C was it well taken care of, does it run good I asked them to do a service as carfax said it wasnt done they assure me that it had been and that every vehicle goes through an inspection thats a lie oil was black sludgy and filter clogged black and in bypass. And bought it in feb received it I. March I still as of the time of this complaint t have not received title after numerous text and calls emails to dealer. Talked to the title clerk was supposed to call me back next day havent heard anything back and tag exp on 6/2/25 after that cant drive also reported all damages to dealer the day of delivery.vetoes driver even left called and was assured someone would. E reaching out yet here we all end of may no title no calls to me lending company dont care and after 6/2.25 I wont be able to drive. All vehicles are sold as is as shown. Customer have the option of having the cars inspected with mobile services or taken to OEM dealer. As for the plates I did speak with **** our L&T manager and she said that some documents have gone back and for with the state and that she has sent out additional doc to be notarized and sent back to us. Sincerely,I am filing this complaint regarding the fraudulent and illegal sale of a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe by *** ( formerly operating under a different name due to prior license issues). I purchased the vehicle on December 6, 2024, and it was delivered to me on December 18, 2024. To date, over six months later, neither I nor the lender has received a valid title for the vehicle.

I took it to a ********* dealership and was told it needed at least $2500 in repairs before they could diagnose the real proble I contacted KNB motors. They told me to send them the estimate and I never heard anything back and I haven't heard anything since I also paid them registration fees and they said they would get the car registered in the state of ************** and my tags will be mailed to me six months later I still have no tags and no registration paperwork. My lending bank has no title and has requested a title and still has not received a title. I feel KNB motors has committed auto fraud breach of contract and failure to register the vehicle at this point I would just like the bank to revoke the loan, KNB motors to take the car back and the loan out of my name as I've already had to buy another vehicle.
It is illegal to sell a vehicle without a title. I have confirmed with both the South Carolina DMVin personand through a Carfax investigation (which I paid for) that there is no registration or title transfer associated with this vehicle. The title is still in the name of the original owner: a police department.
The dealership coached me into providing false information to the lender in order to secure financing, despite my clear discomfort. They falsely claimed that the South Carolina DMV was responsible for the delay in registration, which I have verified is untrue. The vehicle was also falsely advertised and arrived in significantly worse condition than described, ultimately becoming inoperable within 30 days.
The car has since been stolen, impounded, and declared abandoned due to lack of registration or proof of ownership. This situation has caused me substantial financial loss, emotional distress, and damage to my credit.
I am requesting the following:
The dealership repurchase the vehicle from the lender and remove all obligations from my name.
A full refund of my down payment, any payments made on the loan, and all fees I have incurred related to this fraudulent transaction.
This dealership has demonstrated a clear pattern of deception and misconduct, and I respectfully request urgent attention and resolution to this matter.

We have spoke to this customer on a number of occasions and have explained to the customer that there was no third row option or center counsel that comes with this car. It was also not advertised as having these additional items. We go through a third party for all registration and unfortunately at times the state where the vehicle is being registered is slower that we would like or the customer would like. In the case of registration it is out of our hands at times for how long it takes. I did explain to the customer that we do not pay for outside repairs and that if she would like she can bring it here and I would happy to try and do repairs at cost.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because;
When I purchased the vehicle from the dealership, I was informed during the sales and financing process that the dealership would handle all aspects of registration on my behalf. I paid the registration fees directly to the dealer as part of the transaction, and I was told that my permanent tags would be mailed to me. At no point during the sale or thereafter was I informed by the dealership that I would need to separately pay South Carolina property taxes in order to complete the registration process.
Neither the dealership nor the lender ever notified me that unpaid property taxes were delaying the registration. The only information I received from the lender was that they had not received the vehicles title and were actively attempting to contact the dealership without success. At no time did the dealership reach out to advise me of any outstanding tax obligations or suggest that this was the cause of the delay. Had I been informed, I would have promptly paid the taxes and ensured the vehicle was registered without delay.
Regarding the vehicles status, my insurance provider did not total the car. Instead, they canceled the claim due to their inability to determine the extent of damage caused by the theft versus the significant pre-existing damage that existed prior. As a result, I am receiving no reimbursement from the insurance company.
The lender has since taken possession of the vehicle. I no longer have it in my possession due to the dealerships failure to fulfill their responsibility to secure the title and complete the registration process, despite receiving payment for those services. When I last spoke with the dealership, I was assured that my tags would be mailed within 90 days. After that, I received no further communication, and my subsequent attempts to reach out were ignored. When I did contact them regarding mechanical issues with the vehicle, registration or title matters were never brought up. Eventually, all communication from the dealership ceased.
I have phone records confirming that I never received calls from the dealership and no emails indicating any attempt to reach out. I have retained documentation supporting all of the above statements.

I am rejecting this response because:By the business own admission and by the Bill of Lading from the trucking service the windshield was broken before it was shipped. When I saw the crack on the video it was after the shipped denied they broke it. Then I went back and looked at the video. You can see a mark. However from 5 feet away on a *********************************************************** a chip and very difficult to see unless you are looking for it. The business has admitted to the crack by alluding that I said I saw it on their video. Further Illinois state law requires windshield to be free from cracks and any obstructions to the windshield. This should have been done before the car was offered for sale or delivered. Secondly the dealer claims the do safety inspections. I have asked several times to see the written report of the safety inspection. I was told by their ** that they do not keep written records. So I should take their word for it? If there is one I would live to see it. Second had there been a safety inspection the hole being bored into the lower control arm by the broken lowering bolt would have been identified and the broken suspension lowering bolts would have been plainly visible. Also the fact that the car was leaning to the passenger side by more than 1" would have tipped of any competent mechanic. Now as I was informed yesterday they delivered me the car with two bad tires. On was dated from 2008 17 years old it is cracking in the tread and a serious safety hazard. The rear tire on the right is 12 years old and its date is 2013. This company advertises it does strict safety inspection. Would anyone reading this put their family in a vehicle with 17 year old tires? After doing a bit of digging on this company I see that they have many issues with selling very dangerous and deficient cars. Here is a link to their yelp reviews. ******************************************************************************************** The company is banking on the fact that I am in a suburb of ******* and that they can get away with this shoddy practice do to distance. I bought this car believing that a company with a Better Business logo on their website would be an ethical business. However, they shipped me the car and did not disclose these deficiencies putting my life my families life and other motorist at risk of serious injury and possible death. They need to pay for the repairs which now will include two rear tires I wish to request these amounts

Total repairs to make this vehicle safe is $4,650.
In closing I have to laugh at them even mentioning I could bring the car back. They know and as he said on the phone that is not a practice option. Besides repairs by the same company that says a car with a broken suspension 17 year old tires and a cracked windshield is safe. Is not a shop I would trust. Please look at their reviews.

We did a full video walk around with this customer on this 2005 ***** Corvette. I have spoke with this customer and he stated that he did see that the windshield did have a crack when the video walk around was done. We also did have this car in the shop for an inspection and the car had no issues that need to be addressed. This car has 46k miles but is over 20 years old and is in great condition for the year. I did offer to have the customer bring the car here so that we can see if we can help and the customer declined.Business Response

This is a 20 year old Corvette with only 46k Miles. I would love to sell every car as if it is brand new, but if the customer was expecting a new car than that is what he should of bought. Instead he bought a 20 year old low mile Corvette supposedly found a bad bushing on a control that I can inspect because he is out of state. The car is sold AS is AS Shown and that is the documentation that he signed.

I AM NOT EXPECTING A "New Car" I am expecting what they promise one their website a Safe car. Can Mr. ****** exp[lain how 17 year old tires are acceptable? How a broken suspension is acceptable ? Have a cracked windshield is acceptable? Is this the "Stringent " safety inspection that they have no record of ever doing? Is this the kind of company the BBB endorses ? Mr. ****** I did not expect a new vehicle but I do expect one that would not kill me , my family and other motorist. Where is your "safety" inspection report? 17 year old tires? Broken Suspension. Not bushing my friend but lower control arm and 4 Bolts see the receipt? HERE IS WHAT ****** SAYS.
When a lower control arm fails, it can lead to a variety of issues, including steering problems, uneven tire wear, and potentially even loss of control. In extreme cases, a failed control arm can cause the wheel to detach from the chassis, leading to a complete loss of control.
All one has to do is look at their Yelp reviews . This is not a reputable dealer and it is astonishing why the BBB would allow them to use the BBB logo right next to verbiage of a stringent safety inspection on all car . (except for a record of it.)
The sent this car in an unsafe condition because I was out of state. and they feel it will be difficult for me to do anything about.
They need to do the right thing and pay for the tires, windshield and suspension repairs. I am not asking for the detail they promised or anything cosmetic only the things they promised on their website. A safe car. In short of this I request that the BBB do a comp[lete review of their prior complaints and the customer reviews they have on yelp. This is not a comp-any worth of a BBB recommendation.
These issue actually transcend money and are very personnel since they have so little regard for the lives of their customers and public in general.

I am rejecting this response because:I have not received a copy of the title, missouri registration paperwork or a tracking number that these documents have been sent to the State of Missouri. Its true they provided a 90 day drive away temporary plate for ******** but for ******** because of there delays I am in illegal territory not registering after 30 days following missouri requirements.
To transfer a vehicle title in ********, you'll need the original title with the back assignment filled out, an Application for Missouri Title and Registration, proof of insurance, and a Certificate of safety inspection. The seller must also sign the title, and the buyer needs to complete their portion of the form. You'll also need to pay the appropriate fees, including initial titling, state tax, and any late fees

You have 30 days from the date of purchase to title and pay sales tax, according to the ****************************** (.gov).
Late Fees:

We are trying to register the information with his state.
This can take up to 90 days and that is why we provided a ******************************************************* the meantime.
The title goes to the bank that he financed with and not directly to the state or to the customer.

The Title for this vehicle will not go to the state of MO is will go to the finance company that the loan is with. We have a process that we use for every one of our out of state customers same as we have for this customer. We unfortunately do not have direct access to plates for all US states and must go through this process in order to be able to help register vehicles in different states.

I am rejecting this response because: I do not understand how any lawful and state regulated business can operate without keeping proper documents and business records. At this point I have twelve days until my temporary expires, the department of motor vehicles has not received any paperwork from KNB Motors, neither has *********** Auto whom I have been in contact with for weeks. We're requesting evidentiary proof for documentation being sent to the **************************** in ******** for registration. There should be copies and tracking information not just a statement that everything is being handled.

I am rejecting this response because:Instead of answering the question, they try to use deceptive wording and double talk to avoid the question. Here are the facts. Monday, March 3rd, I called as I was told, to request a replacement tag. I was promised, one was being sent to me, via ***************, overnight. Today is March 11th, and I still have not received the tag. The extended warranty was from ************ standard automotive network. I called them back in January, submitted my request in writing to cancel the warranty. They cancelled it and sent a check to KNB Motors. I asked why it was being sent to the dealer and not to the finance company (Consumer Portfolio) . I was told, because KNB Motors need to add their portion to it and send that to amount to Consumer portfolio. Gold standard stated the check, was cashed by KNB Motors February 20th. This was check # *****. As of today March 3rd, nothing was sent to Consumer Portfolio. Almost a month from when they cashed it. All I want is what I am entitle to, I tag and my $1800 so I can stop paying for a warranty that I don't have.

Hello in response to this complaint. We do not state to our customers that they have to take a warranty in order to be financed. We did explain to the customer that the financing that we were able to get him also included warranty coverage in his payment. As for the canceling of the warranty *** does not issue refunds he would have to cancel the warranty with the provided warranty company and sign a document to that effect. At that point they would issue a check to us and we would provide those funds to ***. Just for a point of matter the warranty provided to the customer does have day one coverage. We are in ******** and the customer is in ** we do try and get things processed when it comes to plates as soon as possible. KNB Motors keeps going back to CPS. (CPS) Consumer portfolio is the finance company. The warranty was with Gold Standard in which was cancel directly with them.. They mailed the check to *** in which they cashed back in Fab. To this date, *** has not sent the payment to CPS. In addition, the cover had a 45 day waiting period. Also 2 weeks ago, I talked with ***** and they have no record of any registration filed for this ****. Furthermore, KNB Motors knows the temporary tag that they placed on the car was only good for 90 days which EXPIRED Mar. 3rd. On several occasions, I've call to request a replacement, only to be told, they're sending one out. This has been since Mar. 3rd. Almost a month later. I am driving with an EXPIRED tag. Also, I just checked with Consumer Portfolio and they have not received anything from KNB Motors. Not one *****.

**** has resent you the pictures of the car that we had posted that clearly show that this Police addition unit does not come with a center counsel. And the discerption online as well as the type of package the Police addition is there is no third row option.
I do apologize for there not being any windshield washer fluid. If you can purchase a bottle of fluid and provide me a receipt I will Zelle you a refund. I do apologize for the inconvenience.
As for the car being dirty on the outside when you received it, that is understandable being that the car was shipped from the ************ area to **************. Unfortunately there is little we can do to help with that.

I am rejecting this response because:the pictures are not clear there is no middle console. In the description it was not said that there was no center console. I also feel the salespersons job is to provide details of the current condition of the vehicle. I explained to ****, the sales person, that I had never purchased a car online before or never purchased a police edition vehicle before. He did not provide any extra information for me. I was shocked when I received the vehicle with no middle console and free wires hanging out everywhere. Again, the pictures that were sent to me are not clear that there is no center console. I feel that this is bad business not helping me to replace the center console when the information was not given to me I also dont appreciate being blamed for this issue and saying it was up to me to do the research and find out everything about the car. I paid for my own Carfax report to get detailed maintenance and history on the vehicle. I feel that once the sale was made the dealership was done with me and the reason the salesman got so defensive and blamed me is because he knew he did not tell me the full condition of the car. A car not having a center console is a major missing component of a vehicle and the sales person should have warned me about. He also could have told me I could request videos and a walk-through of the vehicle and I did not know this because I had never bought a car online and expressed that to him. He was not very helpful and did not guide me in any direction and told me that everything with the car was fine. I am disappointed in the way this dealership does business and I cant believe they are still open. I was told I would receive a call back on Saturday and got no call back so I know that they are now not going to help me or not even going to try. I will never do business with this company again and I hope other buyers beware and do not get scammed by these unprofessional and unethical salesmen, if thats what you want to call them.
