  ITS A SCAM!! A WARRANTY SCAM I got a notice in the mail that at first freaked me out because I was like "Damn, I'm sure car I got from the dealership, they covered me with an expensive warranty". I figured out 10 seconds into the call that the guy on the other end DOESN'T KNOW anything and he just wants to get my information. A TOTAL **** OPERATION selling extended warranties for god knows what? Please do not call these people. This is the number I was asked to call ONE EIGHT HUNDRED SIX THREE SEVEN FOUR EIGHT ONE NINE

  I received a letter in the mail saying FINAL NOTICE although I never received any prior notices that I needed to call them with my VIN # and current mileage on my newly purchased car to initiate my factory warranty. When I began asking questions like "why don't you know that info" if you are engaged with the dealership where I bought the car, I got alot of very vague responses. The letter does not have a company name or address nor does it have the name or logo of my dealership or car manufacturer. I called my dealership and they confirmed this company DOES NOT represent the dealership or manufacturer and I am covered by the manufacturer's warranty without needing to "active" this. This is a very dishonest and misleading practice.

  Bought a vehicle 100% online from out of state. They were excellent to work with and the vehicle was nicer than described. 1000% recommend these folks and I am almost never happy with car buying experiences.

  It's a huge scam. Don't do it! They're not even a real company. The gentleman on the phone didn't even want to insure any of my other cars. That's how I knew. How do you want to insure one vehicle and not the other? When I started hacking him with questions he Hung up. I called back, he hung up again!

  Car warranty is a scam. I am a veteran and have never been treated so poorly. I took my vehicle to the dealership last week because it was blowing hot air. I was notified that it was the condenser. I thought my car warranty was going to cover the entire cost since I was told when I purchased it, that it was bumper to bumper coverage. That was not the case. They only cover up to $95 per hour labor cost (which was not explained when you purchase it). ***** ***** dealership charges $150 per hour. I had to come out of pocket for the second time. The first time dealing with the warranty was for my transmission. I also had to come out of pocket for that after the dealership had to go back and forth with them. There is nothing simple with this Car warranty . It has been a hassle and a headache each time dealing with them. Good luck for anyone using Black Diamond Car Warranty.

  I took me vehicle into the shop last week and when it was repaired the warranty I purchased from this company took care of the repair and was paid for almost immediately. I just wanted to take the time to write a review because most of the time people only write reviews when it is something negative. I was really happy with service and the timely matter it was handled.

  This car warranty is a scam. I took my car to the dealership because it literally started smoking from the engine and smelling burnt but the light wasnt on. They told me it was the valve covers and cylinder heads and because of it the oil was leaking into the spark plugs and coil pack area and fouled them out and thats crazy because I just tried to get a tune up done and they told me everything was good and the car only needed a transmission flush that I came out of pocket for and didnt even bother you guys about and your associate told me and the dealership oh well they dont cover it because its an oil leak and they dont need to break down the engine and its not covered and just maintenance but in my paperwork from you guys valve covers and cylinder heads are covered and my car is not leaking oil theres oil where the gas ignites inside the engine and thats why its smoking so im now left with my smoking car thats liable to catch on fire in any moment even though I caught it early and ive been putting my trust and money into a warranty saying it covers basically everything and its sad I was belittled me and the dealership was told everything is normal maintenance but the oil is leaking into the spark plugs and coil packs INSIDE THE ENGINE so They just said its a leak when the papers the ****** Dealership sent clearly says valve covers and cylinder heads then after that coil packs and spark plugs fouled out due to oil being inside them caused by valve cover and cylinder heads like thats one of the first couple things in the the pamphlet you guys gave me so I was happy (until your associates told me it wasnt covered because its maintenance) then also said brake flush and 2 new back tires which I already knew about lol and already knew the warranty didnt cover now maybe ruin my car more and catch on fire idk.. because I didnt save my money I gave to you guys each month wouldve got me farther I just got the warranty because I have a cvt and its not the issue

  I reviewed every call, note, and document on this claim. The issue stems from the service advisor with the dealership not understanding or misstating the issue which has caused confusion. The advisor used cylinder head and valve cover gasket interchangeably multiple times during calls with the claims adjuster and I'm sure with the customer as well. There was no issue with the cylinder head or value cover. The issue was a leaking valve cover gasket. Gaskets and oil leaks are not covered by the terms of this agreement and are clearly stated as such. Furthermore the damage to the spark plugs and coils was caused by the oil leak and is specifically excluded in the contract as well. The coils failed because of an oil leak not on their own. We tried to explain this multiple times to the customer who is understandably confused because of the dealership's advisor using incorrect terminology. We are sorry for any confusion but cannot control employees from other companies. As far as the customer feeling belittled, I listened to every second of every call and at no time did anyone from Black Diamond belittle this customer. Thank you.
