Pure crap! Bought a truck from ***** at Gateway Classic Cars, ******* and had it shipped to ******** OR. I should have read the reviews. The pictures and videos did not show the true paint condition thats why I asked several times if it was a repaint, any body work and paint condition and he assured me that it was perfect prior to my bid, afterwards he says they think it was a repaint. When it arrived the paint was a poor repaint with scratches, touch *** and cracking paint on the hood. Needless to say I expressed my dissatisfaction to ***** and the corporate management to give them an opportunity to make things right and have not heard back. Buyer beware, these people or dishonest to say the least. They should be sued!Gateway Classic Cars

I inquired about a 62 thunderbird convertible and they said they would take a truck that I have on trade. After sending them detailed photos of my truck which has less than 500 miles on it since built, they came back with an offer of ***** for my truck. This truck is a custom build with QA1 tubular suspension, LS engine, big brakes ect. I told them that would not work for me and a few days later I after reviewing their website I called the guy who I had previously spoke with and asked how they came up with the number that was offered for my truck when they have a truck on their website similar to the model I have with nowhere close to the upgrades and quality of the truck I have with a price of 70k. He told me the corporate office came up with the offer and that is what they were willing to pay, he also said the vehicles they have on their website are consigned and the prices are set by the owner and almost always unrealistic. I have to say in my opinion they were attempting to deal with me dishonestly and in bad faith. I have quite a few classic cars and have been buying and selling them for over 40 years. I would not refer or recommend anyone do business with these people.Gateway Classic Cars

*****, thank you for reaching out. Classic vehicle consignment has been our business model for over ***************************************************** a trade, that is done as more of a wholesale calculation. Our goal is to work with each consignor to find a buyer at the best market valuation possible even as that may vacillate over time. If you are interested in consigning your vehicle vs. trading, please contact our team back to continue that discussion.Thank youGateway Classic Cars

This business really gives new meaning to the word used car sales. Unbelievably unprofessional. Selling cars with faulty brakes and then wont do anything about it and blames the mechanic. Whoever dropped off this car knew it had serious issues. The dealership in ***** told me they are not allowed to drive the cars and now I see why.Buyer beware of this placeGateway Classic Cars

1 starRun! Do not buy from this dealer (****** ******** location)! They are dishonest with 0% customer service! I paid $74,000 cash for a corvette. I signed the documents and left the dealer. When I came back to pick the vehicle up (after signing the paperwork which of course they so happen to bury as is language), I noticed the dash has shrunken and is folding up and away from the front window. There is damage to the convertible top. Also, I was told the car has a new engine and I would get paperwork in the mail for the service records as well as the title. Its been a week and still no documentation or title. Also, when I picked the vehicle up, it was missing the spare tire and ***** I was told by an employee they would reach out to the owner to get the tire and get back to me. No response so Ive called now several times and get the runaround. Do yourself a favor, buy elsewhere. Theses guys are scammers and are violating the Colorado Consumer Protection Act. Im considering my legal options.Review fromByron W

1 starStraight scammers! I spent $136,000 on a vehicle BEFORE tax and it broke down less than 30 miles after leaving and it SUPPOSEDLY had a BRAND NEW ***** mile motor! They put me off repeatedly and I had to pay for the motor repairs out of pocket to the tune of $4k+. I was extremely lucky I knew the signs and shut it down as soon as it started to sound rough or I would have been out an entire motor! They stated that "everything except the frame on this thing is brand new down to the bolts." If that was so they would stand behind it and it wouldn't break down a few days after I purchased it. Broke down AGAIN the next time I drove it and it was a faulty coolant system that was (you guessed it!) "Brand New"! They hide behind a Massive pile of documents that no reasonable person could read in the very short time frame that you have to read it while repeatedly telling you its just purchase docs and if you try and read it they "have a buyer ready to go" if you don't hurry up and sign. These are extremely shady people and I am willing to bet 90% of these positive reviews are BS as I have yet to find a single REAL person who has had a good experience and I've tried on social media. I've got screenshots and work orders to back ALL of this up and I will be suing these scammers.Review fromZACHARY L

Our company is not biased, nor makes any decision based on religion or politics when deciding to accept a vehicle into our inventory. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement to represent this customers Camaro. We wish this customer the best in their pursuit to find the Camaro a new home.Review fromVince L

Recently I purchased a **** **** mustang lx convertible thorough gateway classics in ********** *******. I live in ********** so when I called to inquire I was connected with *********************. I asked him the usual questions and got some more pictures from him. He told me the car had been totally gone through, that this thing is reliable, paint is in great condition, and I also stressed the fact that it needed to pass smog because ********** is strict. He gave me the guarantee that it would. So I took his word, and I stressed the situation because I was nervous about buying a vehicle site unseen, but with the reassurance **** gave me and the reputation of Gateway classics I trusted them. BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE. Right when I got the vehicle you can see dents and dings all throughout the car. It has a horrible repaint, there are literal drips of black paint on the trunk hood. That was just visually, when me and a mechanic dove into it, heres what other **************** we found. MISSING O2 SENSORS!Runs horrible,Eratic idle,E brake doesnt work AT ALL Rear end has bearing noise Came 3 quarts low on oil Brake fluid is low and contaminated, and same goes for the ****** fluid.Check engine light does not come on, I couldnt even scan the thing for codes! And it came WITHOUT being smogged, after he told me it passed which is illegal by the way as well as the sellers responsibility So when I called back extremely disappointed, ********************* played dumb and told me that he only said he thought it passed smog, and said that THEY DO NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE BEFORE SELLING, amongst other lies to cover himself up. So how can you give me all these guarantees without knowing anything about this vehicle? How can you feel comfortable with selling a pile of junk. I have been trying to contact them and I have gotten zero callbacks. Please do not do business with this company. I have absolutely no reason to be making any of this up, I wish I did not have to write this review.Gateway Classic Cars

The business has reviewed the situation brought forth by the consumer and believes some of these statements were inaccurate to the facts. After review, it has been concluded that no malintent transpired during the negotiations or transaction of this vehicle. Referencing the investigation conducted, the business would like to take a moment to clarify a few things mentioned in this consumers statement.First, all vehicles when being checked into the dealership do have a basic equipment checklist completed. This includes checking basic function features such as headlights, taillights, reverse-lights, blinkers, A/C etc. This checklist is available for any consumer upon request when pursuing a vehicle to purchase. Next, this vehicle, along with every vehicle represented by the dealership was posted with an ample number of photos, along with a video, which includes a complete walkaround and portion of the vehicle idling & driving. Also, if requested, the business is always willing to take additional photos or videos of any particular areas specified by the consumer to be sent over for review. We would also like to point out, if the consumer desires, the business makes all vehicles available to be inspected either by the consumer themselves, 3rd party inspector, or anyone the consumer deems reputable/creditable enough to review the vehicle on their behalf prior to purchasing. Lastly, the claim of smog-inspection is far-fetched as the dealership does not provide, nor make any claims of having certified mechanics at the facility. In fact, the dealership does not perform any service on their inventory whatsoever. Thus, wouldnt have the capabilities of guaranteeing it to pass another states inspection regulations, as all state regulations vary case by case on acceptability guidelines. Which circles back to why as a company were so lenient and receptive of allowing private or 3rd party inspections.
Enclosing, we are disheartened to hear that the consumer is disgruntled with their purchase as this is not the desired outcome for either party. However, after investigating, the business concluded the salesman and location did represent the vehicle with full transparency. Thus, the company considers this As-Ispurchase to be completed in its entirety and has closed out this transaction.Review fromSteven H

1 starHorrible experience. ********************* contacted me to consign my **** ******** SL500. He fed me a bunch of lies and then once I had it delivered there asked me to lower my net price. They then listed it for $5000 over at a 35% commission, ridiculous! When my 90 days was up, I had no interest in resigning because they wouldn't lower the asking price and it was way too high so nobody was interested. *** told me I has 2 weeks to pick up the car with no storage charges. On the 15th of September I received an email from ***************************, office manager that said I owed $200 storage fees for the whe month of September. I sent her the email that *** sent me stating that I wouldn't be charged for 2 weeks and she said *** doesn't make the rules, she does. So *** lied and misled me. I had sold the car myself in the meantime and sent someone to pick it up on October 1st. I called ****** on the morning of the 1st to pay the unwarranted storage fees so it could be picked up. ****** was very rude, told me she was very "****** off" at me an I was an ignorant a$$hole and hung up on me. I then had to send my payment info through email because she wouldn't talk to me. When the driver picked up the vehicle they were very rude and uncooperative. VERY VERY DISHONEST AND MISLEADING WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUYER/SELLER BEWARE!!Review fromHolly S

Not one star more like zero. I recently consigned a vehicle in there showroom and when I delivered the vehicle it was fresh from the paint shop. Pick it up and there's a scratch in which they denied it happened in there show room but yet they're own pictures site it with out the scratch. Of course I get accused of scratching it after I picked it up. Do not sell your car through gateway at ***** in ******* ******** or I'm sure any location as they are based here.Gateway Classic Cars
