      After 3 years of residing at Cypress Pointe Apartments (an Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation property), my Wife and I met with *************************** (resident manager) at Cypress Pointe Apartments for move out on July 12, 2023. ************ assured us there were no documents which needed to be signed and no monies owed. ************ was provided a forwarding address and has all our contact information on file. 81 days later (10-01-2023) a letter was delivered to my desk from *********************** ******************* demanding payment of $612.83 with no details. I contacted *********************** and received a "detailed" breakdown for the amount. Unit **** was plagued with issues (unknown to prior to move in because ************ did not allow us to have a walk through inspection prior to move in) from bent and warped cabinetry to sordid mold and water damage. None of these issues were ever resolved over the entire three years we lived there. To be served with a collection notice after three years of residence - always paying on time - and no communication from either Cypress Pointe Apartments or Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation is too much.This is typical of the management style at Cypress Pointe Apartments and something must be done. I am also filing a complaint with the *********, ** Better Business Bureau against Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation.
