      We order the "hot dog" specials and found the skins were so thick I couldn't chew them (not the normal Vienna dog). I Asked to see the manager and he STATED that several times a year they come like that, we still serve them on the weekends only. I then Sent a letter to the store, and another manager replied with the same response! This tells me that they KNOWLINGLY sell subpar food at premium prices. Profits over customer appreciation/satisfaction. ********************** was built on good products you can TRUST. Corporations answer to that is shown above.

      **,******, *****. ****** associate ,**** manager. Worst customer ********************** employees ever. I was verbally assaulted by **** the attending manager, because, there was an item left out of my order. Once I informed ******, she snatched the bag from my hand, as if the the mishapp was my fault, When she returned with the order, I informed her that was inappropriate. Then the ******, **** came to the window, irate, rude and disrespectful. When I asked him why would he speak to a customer that way, he simply said, "it doesn't matter, my employee was crying." I did not disrespect her not one time. Yet he felt the need to come to the drivethru window and disrespect me. This kind of behavior is extremely unacceptable and I will no longer be frequenting this establishment.

      Visited place in *********, **.. we won't be back... TERRIBLE SERVICE, WAITED OVER 30 MINUTES FOR MY 2 SANDWICH ORDER. People that ordered after me received their orders. I had to ask where mine was.. Employees don't care about patron, too busy talking with other wmployees.. so done with this ********** was worst we ever had and we have been coming for years here... everything so salty, beef was so dry even telling them we wanted it juicy. Just awlful...awful....

      Their customer service is less than good. I tried to call our local restaurant in **********, ** when we were missing a meal on three different orders and they do not answer the phone at all and I was persistent!

      According to the Manager at the Willowbrook Portillo's. It is "Company Policy" not to have heating or cooling tents outside for the "Street Team" who are taking orders in temperatures that range from negative 0 to 90 - 100 degree weather. I called corporate and the person I spoke to said, they are supposed to "rotate" people out every 30 minutes as part of their "Policies and Procedures. After talking to the "Street Team" outside that is not the case. Team Members that work outside in these extreme weather conditions are not happy and say the company and management "doesn't care." There is no good reason to have people work outside. This does not happen at any other drive-thru food service or business whether it be in the *************** or Suburbs. (Example: **********, *****'s, ********, *************). Create a healthy new standard for all your locations. This has been going on for way too long (over 24 years). Portillo's Leadership team and decision makers: think about people's health, mental health and being outside long-term 30 - 40 hours a week or more. It's simply not right, and if you think you're doing it right. You're not. Do better, Portillo's.

      The manager ***** was very rude. I'm tired of experiencing so much racism since I moved from the city. When a White person was greeted with professionalism and a smile. I got treated rudely for cheese sauce. I was treated with frowns and rudeness. I've frequent several locations, downtown *******, Oaklawn and Willowbrook. Never have I received this treatment. Spent alot of monies with this restaurant. It's truly disappointed that ALL customers aren't appreciated. News flash all money is green regardless of the color of the hand spending it

      Tinley Park Location Very bad service from drive thru employee at Tinley Park drive thru Order # Y22 / Check# ****** - Name on ticket - ******* On 11/22/2023 @ 6:08pm. After placing an order Price of $37.00 and some change Order places:3 Combo 2 with hot pepper with Gravy on side 1 original combo 1 Large Fries and 1 small fries..Waited a very long time after pulling up to window and ask to pull up to continue to wait.Total wait time close to 30 min....Order receiver - 2 combo and dipped ( Never requested at any time to dip any combo..)After receiving order: and checking order.It was stated I only paid for two.. How was I to know the man only placed and order for 2 and the order was competed wrong.Furthermore order 1 small fries and 1 large fries - Received: 2 small fries and 1 large fries??? ( 3 fries total) I waited about 30vmin. - I've ordered from ******** for a long time, - But With this type of service I will find me another location or just stop ordering from ********..

      Very disappointed with the service and management. Wife ordered chopped salad in advance for a party for $58. Three weeks later went to pick up the order and they couldn't find the order so we had to reorder and pay on the spot. Spoke to the manager and he said come back with proof of transaction/order. Came back with proof of order and proof of transaction to manager ****** and all he could do was offer 2 $25 gift cards (total of $50) - yet we paid $58.Said we had to cancel the order on the same day of ordering to get a full refund. What a joke.

      Horrible customer service! I have a severe dairy allergy that can put me into anaphylactic shock. I ordered a Hamburger from Portillos which has no cheese. When the order came from doordash, it had cheese. I’ve ordered from doordash multiple times and never had an issue with the Elmhurst Portillos. So we called asking them to give us a new order and deliver it since it was after 7 and we didn’t wanna drive over there. They instead told us they couldn’t do that and we would either have to drive all the way across town to confront them or just place a whole new order that we had to pay for. My mom was on the phone and after yelling at them they hung up instead of trying to resolve the issue the best they could. I work in customer service and would never hang up on a customer even if they cussed me out. While I do love portillos food, if you’re gonna order from there, it’s best to avoid delivery since they decided not to do anything about our issue. Or try the Northlake location.
