On March 11, I **************** came to Napleton Cadillac to purchase a vehicle. I informed two sale people J ********************************, that I only had a desire to seek funding from 2 specific financial institutions ************ and ************ Upon further discussion a 3rd was added, GMC. I specifically and adamantly told them I intended on making a home purchase in the near future and only wanted to deal with institutions I already had a relationship with. I didn't want any hard inquiries on my credit history other than what I authorize. NO ONE and NOTHING ELSE, I then politely explained to *************************** who ensured he would only make the request from the agreed upon institutions we discussed. After that, I signed a form for permission for him to do so. They took it upon themselves to submit my application to additional lenders we never agreed upon. I received an alert stating my privacy was breached and the verbal agreement broken by two outside lenders via Napleton Cadillac. It was not an accident as ************** The MANAGER agreed and expressed he would let ********************** in finance know (his subordinate) and ensure my request. I called the lender who asked me to contact the dealership, I spoke with the finance associate who was originally tasked to handle my file on the date of my purchase. I expressed my shock and dismay explaining what I was told needed to be done to clarify the issue. The finance associate pulled up my file and invalid lender request and expressed he would forward this infraction to the manager. Having said that, I was told that once I sign on to review my credit I don't have the right to chose my lender or where they send it. I disagreed, that's fraud. I am pretty sure the ********** of ********* and Professional Regulations and the Attorney General would as well. People can't do anything they want with your information blindly. I am requesting they remove the inquiries from ************** Services and Westlake ********* Services IMMEDIATELY!

    ****************,

About three weeks ago I contacted ************** Services and ******** and have yet to receive a call back regarding taking off your inquiries from your Credit Report. I know you are satisfied with your ATS and as a company we have done and continue to take care of you in Sales and Service. I will follow up with you ASAP once I know they are processed. Your business and patronage is important and I appreciate you. I will update the record once both financial institutions resolve this.

    Sincerely,

***************************, General Sales Manager, Napleton Cadillac of Oak Lawn

I am rejecting this response because: The following supporting email cites consumer law and how it is defined. It also strictly prohibits checking a credit report if I am not doing business with that entity, I am not their consumer nor do I don't have a past or present account with them. The company was never a consideration. They misinterpreted the statute and applied it vaguely assuming protection. The statute wasn't intended to give broad permission. It actually reads specific, I don't fit the categories. ****************** never had permission to check my credit and was misled by Napleton Cadillac of Oaklawn.

    Sincerely,

    Iyore Omerey

We do charge shop supply fees at a rate of 9% of total parts and labor not to exceed $96.00.  This is posted in a sign holder at the service advisor desks and printed on the service repair order signed by the customer. Shop supplies include but not limited to soap for technicians, degreaser on shop floor, floor mats and seat covers used in clients vehicles, etc. I have attached a photo of the signage that is currently located at the service advisor desk that **************** was checked in at along with a copy of the signed repair order.
