    I went on a field trip with my daughters school to the museum yesterday. Later that night, around 3 a.m., my daughter started throwing up. I believe this may be due to the lack of sanitation at the museum, particularly with the toys and clothing items that children interact with. Proper cleaning and sanitizing should be a priority, especially with so many illnesses going around kids are especially vulnerable. A couple of months ago, my kids had the stomach flu, and I believe this could be the same thing. They were perfectly fine before visiting the museum. I strongly urge the museum to consider more thorough and regular cleaning practices to help prevent the spread of illness.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and were truly sorry to hear your daughter became ill after the visit. We know how stressful it is when a child gets sick, and we hope shes feeling better soon.We know that illnesses can spread easily among young children, especially during busy times of year and when they are playing in close proximity of one another. Thats why we take sanitation seriously and regularly clean and sanitize our exhibits, toys, and high-touch areas. Still, as with any space where children play and interact with one another, the risk of exposure cant be fully eliminated which is why we also ask families to help by postponing visits if anyone isnt feeling well.We are always looking for ways to strengthen our health and safety practices and appreciate feedback from our guests.
