It was a remodeling project in which a wall was to be removed to expand our kitchen and eliminating an office space. One specific work item was to move a radiator 90 degrees from 1/2 wall opening to kitchen to the outside wall in the office below window and re use existing cover and paint cover. Issue: in moving the radiator they had to drain heating system (boiler) prior to moving. Once radiator is moved fill system with water and bleed all radiators on three floors. Check to make sure heat is working. Project manager who said he's a license ****** disconnected the radiator but did not put in a backflow which allows the water to move throughout the house and because of this we had no heat on the 2nd and 3rd floors. He did the work because the **** subcontractor per project manager wanted a higher amount then originally budgeted. They had no backup **** servicers so that is why the manager did the hack job in moving the radiator so project could keep moving. My wife and I when 7 day without heat till I refer an **** person to do the work. by even my wife and I decided to not have the radiator contacted and just wanted heat prior to Thanksgiving which we were planning on having 12 family members over. Needless to say we did not have heat but we have two fireplaces and the weather was not as cold as it is now. The Project manager is saying the lack of heat was due to the old pipes and sediment. This in not true. When he shut the system down and then restated it the water was flowing only to the first floor resulting in natural sediment to get stirred ** and cause a block in the pipes. Our **** person came in on the 10th day with no heat and restored the heat to all floor and replace the backflow (with his Plumbers) and a blocked value at a cost of $1375 which we paid.Baronger Group wants to not remove from the last payment the approximately $1500 they budgeted for the work in moving the radiator. Also we paid $350 for a door they were get.
