      I participated in a project on the topic of hair care.The researcher was very happy and said that I would be compensated for my time and opinion $125. Focuscope canceled my reward afterwards. They were so unprofessional and rude.I will be reporting them on all kind of websites so people would know the type of company that they are. Additionally I will be reaching out to the sponsor of the research and let them know that I didn't get paid.

      On 9/21/22, I received an email to be screened for a potential Mock Jury Trial with Focuscope (attached). I completed the screener. The same day, I received a voicemail from *** at Focuscope (attached) asking me more questions and accepting me into the project and offering me different days to come in for the group and ultimately scheduling me for October 1, 2022. I then received a confirmation email the same day (attached). On September 27, 2022, I received an email from ***************************** letting me know that "our client needs to cancel that group. At this time, we do not know if they will be rescheduling it or not. If they do provide us with a new date, Focuscope will contact you to see if you are still interested in participating." I then called her and spoke with her to see if I could get in one of the other dates and she went silent and then told me, "oh no, that isn't possible." She persisted that "the clients cancelled that date" but her silence when I asked her about being in other dates made me suspicious she was lying. I texted the recruiter (attached) and asked if the group was still on with no response. Today, October 1, the date that was cancelled, I called in to the office (record attached) and sure enough, the person I spoke with told me not only that the group was still on, but that it NEVER WAS CANCELLED. In the cancellation email, ***************************** says: "At this time, we do not know if they will be rescheduling it or not. If they do provide us with a new date, Focuscope will contact you to see if you are still interested in participating. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. We will put your name back in our database and call you for something in the future." Thus, clearly, Focuscope cannot reply to this complaint by arguing I had done something else to warrant a cancellation. For this clear lying, prejudicial, disrespectful, and embarrassing incident I demand that I be compensated the $225 the Mock Jury paid.
