    On April 11, 2024 I spoke to ****** ********* dba A & J Fencing Plus to have him replace a vinyl gate at my residence. ****** asked me to ******* him $340 in advance so he could order the gate. We agreed that he would come by my residence on April 12, 2024 to sign a contract and get accurate measurements for the job. ****** was a no call and no show so I messaged him. He apologized saying that his current job was running longer than expected and that he would come by on Saturday April 13, 2024. Once again, ****** was a no call no show, so I messaged him again, over 20 messages and several phone calls and ****** simply will not reply. ****** willfully and intentionally stole my money, and I’ll accept part of the blame as I knew better. I told him I normally would not send money in advance without something in writing, but I was trying to have faith in the common decency of people and on ******** word. I have filled a police report and also found out that he had scammed other people out of their money as well. I do not understand how someone can get away with this and no legal action is taken against him. I am willing to press charges but more importantly I want my money back. Thank you

    I paid AJ Fencing $750 as a deposit on March 8, 2024 and the full amount was set at $1500 but he didn't show up on the agreed day (March 18). He texted me on March 18 saying that he needed 48 hours; it is now March 26th and still no word from him since then.
