    I purchased a rental application for $80 that was supposed to include a background check. It did not, the background check was an additional $45, making the total application fee $125. I never submitted the application, requested a refund, but was denied.

    My daughter and I reviewed a rental home, the agent took our application fee of $80.00, and not able to get in contact with. He keeps showing the same home and taking other people money, and saying the home is available. He had collected thousands of dollars for the same home, and not able to reach him for a refund. He never provided a good contact number just an email.

    So it appears that the daughters contact information was the one I had saved on my phone and not her mothers. 

    This house is no longer available. 

    Any house for rent would be shown until a family is approved. The way a family gets approved. Is they follow the simple directions by returning all documents in a single email in a PDF format and then they complete a background check. Any/all applications and offers from prospective tenants would be considered. Eventually, the family that demonstrates their ability to pay their financial obligations on time or upfront would be chosen.
    I process applications in the order I received them , 
    Strong Applications are always approved right away. 

     When applicants pay a Nonrefundable application fee. They are allowed to apply to up to three properties one at a time good for 30 days. I dont ever remember seeing the mother or daughter again they never came up to me to ask or inquire. they never contacted me on the phone despite having my cellular phone number and email address. 

    Im not sure why they didnt follow simple directions. Im not sure why they think they are entitled to a refund when they told the application fee was nonrefundable. Unfortunately, that time has expired on August 14th. 

    All of these details really dont solve the issue , they still need a rental property. . Clearly their complaint has been fabricated because they did have my email address and if they knew I was allegedly continuing to show the property they couldve come to a showing to talk to me, which they didnt. At $80 an application I would have to do 13 applications to collect one thousand dollars,  they indicated that I collected thousands of dollars thats not $1000 thats not $2000. Thats at least $3000 or more , which would be at least 39 applications which is completely absurd and a ridiculous statement. Clearly, they have fabricated their statements. 

    As a leasing specialist, I dont own properties and I dont make decisions. All I do is meet people and ask them to move forward in the process and submit the documentation needed and do a background check. Unfortunately, todays rental market is extremely competitive. There are more families looking for places than there are actual places available. I feel bad and sympathize with people and Im glad that Im not looking for a rental because its really tough out there. I wish this family the best had they reached out to me directly. I wouldve done something to give them another opportunity. At this point because they fabricated their story. 

    When you respond to them, you can tell the family that if they want to, they can reach out to me with a text message at ************ I will be happy to respond to them and I will give them one more opportunity to apply to up to one more property.   This offer expires September 6th @ noon
