My landlord lied and covered up mole and flooding basement, with faulty sud pump in unit that he was renting . When viewed the home I notice ripples in basement door and was painted over, when I asked if the house flooded I was told no. That was a lie discovered a month later. Upon me asking about repairs a was also threatened if I didnt pay section 8 portion of **** I would be evicted. I asked him to break the lease so I can move he wouldnt do it. Now this about 3 months in to living in the unit. I got a hold of section 8 they paid him the money owed. So after he had his workers patch up the basement about 4 times. Finally section 8 stop paying him. Now he tells me I can move out he breaks the lease, I sent pictures to the company about the mold and also letting them know I was sick. They did nothing, ************** said he is not spending any more money on the unit. I had to find a unit immediately because of the mold and basement continued to flood. I m on disability I have a lot of health problems one being asthma. So it was very hard for me to come up with money in such a short notice for a deposit. Not to mention the house had other major issues like gas leak in furnace, gas leak hot water tank. I paid 250 gas bill for six months before I found a gas leak. And all I was reimbursed was ****** for 1 month for the inconvenience. You will see in my pictures how the landlord knowingly and intentionally tried to rent the unit out immediately after I moved out knowing the unit was unstable and and safe to the public. I had the ************************ inspector out and to look at it. And it is deemed for unstable and unsanitary conditions. I moved out September 15, 2023 and did the final walk through on September 18, and the house was back on the market for rent on September 19th see photos.

    Hello,

When *********************** applied to rent the house we processed her application and put thru her Sec 8 Papers. We then had to have the village inspection which passed (has passes every year for the las ten years). We then proceed with section 8 inspection which also pass. After moving in she had several repairs requested which we address in a timely manner. She called sec 8 for emergency inspection and then Wouldn't be there for re-inspection so that sec 8 would put us in abetment and cause for sec 8 not tp pau us for rent. We have a lease with tenant and she is responsible to pay rent at all times. Several times we send out repair man but she would not give them access to home. We belief she did that on purpose so sec 8 would expediate her move out. The day she moved out she call the Village, so they inspected the mess she left behind and the village forbid us to rent until we get some testing done which we did and passed. We returned the balance of her deposit in a timely manner.

    Thank ***************************

I am rejecting this response because: I never missed any inspections and I have proof of how the house looked when I moved out! Yes I call the village after they came to try to remove mold while I still was living there. They let me out my lease when the landlord said he wasnt repairing it it cost too much . They also knew about the basement flooding because of the previous tenant complaining!

    Sincerely,
