    I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved billing issue with Meadows Dental Care. This complaint concerns failure to communicate charges, lack of billing transparency, failure to submit insurance claims, and careless handling of patient information.On January 16, 2025, I brought my daughter Muqing Ma to their office for a dental visit. Prior to the appointment, I submitted all required insurance information and completed their online new patient forms, including accurate patient details.During the visit, the dentist took only a quick look at my daughters teeth. No X-rays were taken, no diagnosis or treatment plan was provided, and no referral documentation was issued. The dentist simply said he could not help and suggested that we visit a pediatric dentist.Before leaving, I asked the front desk staff, Are we all set and good to go? and I was told yes. No one mentioned any charges, and no receipt, billing form, or fee explanation was provided.However, more than six weeks later, I received a bill for $148, described as a limited evaluation. Additionally, my daughters name was incorrectly spelled on the bill as Muquing Ma, raising concerns about the accuracy of their recordkeeping. I believe this charge is inappropriate and unjustified for the following reasons:1. No real evaluation or dental service was provided.2. There was no cost disclosure before, during, or after the visit.3. The office failed to submit an insurance claim, despite having all necessary information.4. The patient name was recorded incorrectly, which may affect insurance processing.Desired Outcome:I respectfully request that Meadows Dental Care cancel the $148 charge or submit it to insurance for proper processing.I also ask that they improve their communication practices and patient record accuracy to prevent similar issues for other families.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,Shizhu Ma

    We have looked into the patients chart and looks like the patient had given us the insurance information but there was no claim that was filed for a limited exam. We apologize for the late response. We will send a claim to the insurance company and resolve the billing issue the patient is receiving.
